I feel like Ich Komme will probably take away from any unique edge Kant might have had in the semi.
I actually think Kant might overshadow Ich Komme since it's in English and everyone will be talking about the lyrics. This song is probably going to go viral.

:4: for now - I like the pre-chorus and the chorus is catchy (even though it's trashy and braindead) - That song needs a HUGE revamp, though.

I don't think it will pass the semis and Maltese fans will be fuming again.
It will be quite funny if they demand the juries to be back in the semis, though (because that's how Malta can only have a chance to qualify apparently) because THAT song... it's got Bottom 5 with the juries in a potential GF written all over it ... (I don't know what the jury members had been smoking whilst ranking the Maltese songs tonight).

They had Heaven Sent and they sent this...

I think I'm done with tonight tbh.

3 points in the poll (and because of the studio version being decent).

The EBU let :se: pass with "#MILF" when they hosted the event...
Personally, I think that "Kant" isn't "worse" - of course, it's a different case here since "Kant" is part of an entry whilst "Milf" has been said once by a co-host but still... if you allow "Milf", "Kant" should technically be alright as well.

It's worth noting the BBC muted that #milf moment

As soon as “juries” started giving this 12 points and she was only 14 points behind Kristy I knew it was over. Not my thing but at least for Malta qualification is on the cards again. As it still would’ve been for Kristy IMO.

I did expect more Immanuel Kant than cunt, though.xlmao
If I got a cent for every time I heard this joke, I wouldn't have to work for the next 200 years. It's one of the reasons I hate this song with passion. The poor girl probably doesn't even know who Kant was, let alone, what he thought or wrote. It's a complete disgrace.

Erika gonna steal all of her votes, this is the biggest NQ-candidate yet IMO.
It's too early to predict this. Ich Komme may be more edgy, but Kant is more accessible. Their positions in the RO, relations to other songs, and pre-contest improvements are also factors to this kind of verdict.

Kant is so on the nose - people are not going to forget the 'Serving Kant' song. Ich Komme isn't quite as obvious on a first listen and so I don't expect it to go as viral.

If anything, I feel like Erika is hurt way more than Miriana is. All assuming Kant is allowed to stay as it is of course.

Edit: sorry, slow response and many other people are saying the same thing xlmao

There is no way the EBU is going to allow this song

Yup, I really don't see them letting this pass. The EBU censored Latvia back in 2022 for the "eating veggies and pussy" line and others countries in the past like Italy's last winner. You could argue kant just means "singing" in Maltese but it's 101% clear they're using it to come across as if they're "serving c*nt." They want you to hear it as the vulgar swear word. The problem is this line is basically the whole idea of the song. You censor it and it's not Kant anymore. I'll be really surprised if this entry as it is makes it to Eurovision.
