I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates This Time, the hellspawn of banjo pop and sensitive guy music. But I still expect it to be hugely popular.

Sooooo true! And it's currently 2nd in the poll behind "Not Perfect" - another bland radio schlager, but slightly enjoyable imo.


I also like Skęstu (especially by the ending) and voted for it. Glad to see it is 3rd in the poll.

The jury are awful and so is the televote Vaidas did not deserve to be so low in the televote and Wilma did not deserve to get 0 points off the jury and its for this reason I hope Lithuania picks another dud song and singer

Edgaras and Vaidas both spoke out about the show's format during the most recent filming, in which they performed each other's songs. After the jury criticized Vaidas for not "feeling" Not Perfect, Edgaras brought it up on camera during the green room bit and basically said "well, naturally, it's my song." He said it would be preferable for each artist to perform either a self-written song or a song written specifically for them, and that the previous selection rules made more sense to him. Vaidas backed him up and agreed that it's no fun to sing a song you have nothing to do with, and said that of course they had entered with their own songs because they wanted to perform them themselves. The article also quotes a Facebook post that Edgaras made in which he not only said that what's being required of them in the selection is useless in Eurovision, but also that Lithuania will never get anywhere in Eurovision by pandering to foreigners and dismissing their own artists.

So satisfying, please destroy this NF

Sh*ts about to kick off. Imagine if the contestant all walk off and refuse to compete in a protest against the format. LRT will be forced to either withdraw in disgrace or quickly throw an act together.

^ I can't help to feel that the singer is wrong here, she is too sweet and gentle, I would like to have some rougher female singer that could make a stronger impact. Otherwise it is a rather okay song, but depends a lot of a singer that can take care of it.

Two contestants in Lithuania’s national selection have spoken out against the format
The Lithuanian national final format continues to be brought into question this week as it has emerged Vaidas Baumila and Edgaras Lubys were made to sing each other’s songs as part of the upcoming fourth show this weekend.
Both Baumila and Lubys were critical of the decision as well as the judge’s comments that Baumila was not ‘feeling’ the song they were performing, to which Lubys argued in the green room that it was only natural for someone to react in such a way to a song not written by them.

The criticisms follow Milita Daikeritė’s decision to withdraw from the competition following illness and could spell troublesome times for the Lithuanian campaign.

Well, it is her song. She even wrote the lyrics as far as I understand. I don't speak lithuanian, but to me the song has a soft, slightly melancholic vibe to it, which fits just fine with Monika imo.

The fourth show of Eurovizijos will air tonight and will feature the eight remaining artists performing the competing Eurovision songs.
The show was already recorded on 20 January 2015. Milita Daikerytė withdrew from the competition due to illness which is why we’re down one extra person. The two artists with the lowest scores after the combination of jury and televote results will be eliminated. The Lithuanian jury panel that evaluated the artists consisted of Ramūnas Zilnys (music reviewer), Gediminas Zujus (producer), Darius Užkuraitis (musicologist) and Ieva Norkūnienė (choreographer).
