For me it's not as good as Marco Mengoni (simply because his entry was perfect) but I dont get the hating on it. I think it will perform well in the televote, even if the juries prefer it ultimately. Top 10 is pretty much certain I would think, but I might be wrong :)

Ok, disappointed by the results. Of course, "Il Volo" was the most "obvious" material for Eurovision, but they shouldn't have won San Remo. As someone said earlier, "Grande Amore" is a good song for Eurovision (even though it sounds fake imo), but far from being the best of the lineup to win the Italian festival (which seemed until now not to have the same criteria). Nek, Annalisa, Malika, Irene and Chiara had quality songs that would have deserved that first place.

I expect them to do well (not to win, let's get serious) since the song is formatted for ESC: easy to listen, easy to like instantly. So I'm disappointed somehow I was hoping for a classic and classy song, a grower. On Tuesday, I surprised myself by enjoying "Grande Amore" but now the more I listen to it, the less I'm likely to praise it.

I have to say that, if it wasn't for this cheesy opera pop thing, the rest of the show has been strangely very good and satisfying.

Let's deal with the fact that this is the most "international" thing - apart from Lara Fabian (someone says she's already booked a flight to Nunavut for a long holiday far from the stage) - and that in ESC will do very very well. Let's wait for other songs to arrive, but this could be a winner.

Russia alone will award us 48 points.

Guys its not sure that Il Volo will go to Vienna, still not official confirmation from them of they will accept the offer to go for ESC, so the title of the thread must be changed. They didn't say anything yet.

What can you expect from Italy other than this really.

The music video is so weird. I can't decide if it's very bad or just tongue-in-cheek? At least they are pretty cute. 4 points I guess.
