I honestly feel sorry for you, how miserable can you be to seriously think that you have "objectively" better taste than others. But oh well, feel free to live your life like that and be a miserable asshole. It's your choice. Oh, and don't blame the messenger.

Really? Ok.

I thought lyrics were pointless/stupid/as generic as fuck. Dance moves were hysteric, uncontrollable mess. I was fine with sounds (if we leave out chicken sounds) - didnt bother me.

I also hate Netta's song, but you should still remain objective. To claim that everyone who likes this song has no taste is absurd. You can be angry about it winning just as I am, but don't say that YOUR taste is the measure. Really ridiculous.

Well both Netta and Salvador last year were among my top favourites even though so different. xshrug I think Netta is a talent, not a circus act and I found her song vital and amusing.

Thing is, we all should be disappointed. Because as the backlash ALREADY shows this is not a popular winner and will go down as one of the worst winners in recent ESC history. And if you think that after Israel winning I should all the sudden start liking the song, you are mistaken.

In fact if anything I am proud about how the voting went. Because my country was the only country that gave Israel exactly 0 points. I hope rest of the Europe will catch up to us in upcoming years!

Btw, do you like licking tears or why you call them tasty?

all televote winners are by definition popular, she will go down as a winner like any other and eric cartman has definitely shown us that licking tears is possible and enjoyable

did i say she was THE MOST POPULAR winner? no. i said she is popular.

also you tried to be cheeky but netta literally did get more than half of the televote points she could possibly get. she got 317 points. the most she could get is 12 points from all other 42 countries, which is a total of 504. netta got 62.9% of the televote points she could get. to contrast, the actual least popular winners ever ell & nikki got 44.2% of the televote.

I like that you compare her to the least popular winners, because there is no point to compare her to the most popular winners, is there?

And there is no cheekiness in my previous post. I said 50%+ televotes, not televote points. Those are obviously 2 different things. Also it was you who started to talk about televote result as a benchmark to decide if she is popular or not.

She got the most votes from all the songs in the competition and therefore won and is the deserved winner. Honestly don't get how it is even possible to maintain a discussion about that. Music is still about taste, but some people somehow just can't stand the fact that the rest of the world won't adjust to their personal taste.

No, problem is that some people cant stand that other people still think this song sucks, even though it won the competition. No one is disputing it won the competition, but that does not automatically mean it must be an amazing song for everyone.

Also here is the thought ... we have had different winners over the years, but rarely a winner that is disliked by so many people than ISR entry this year. I would not be surprised if there would be a lot more people who actually dislike this song, but you know ... you can not give minus points in televoting.
