Well...Well...Well, my #43 won the entire contest.....Guess Eurovision particularly hates me
Still don't like the chicken gimmick, the overly preachy message, the feminist agenda and just the overall crazyness surrounding it.

I'm still glad it won over Cyprus though, which was so inoffensive I wouldn't know how to feel about it regardless.
I might not personally like Netta's song, but I respect it as the winner and the amount of hate she received is a bit excessive in my opinion.
Reading some of the comments on Youtube actually helps prove's Netta's point on a general lack of respect for women and there being to much misogyny shared by too many people.

Oh well, I will just start waiting for a song in my top 10 to win Eurovision again....been waiting since 2013 now xcry

I feel a pattern. Seems like Eurovision is switching between inoffesive (pop-)song, followed by a controversial political statement/gimmick act, followed by an innovensive (pop-)act again to calm everybody down from last year

netta has almost 200k likes and less than 50k dislikes in the semifinal video. people were totally fine with it until it won and then it became THE WORST THING EVER TO EXIST OMG. meaningless.

Yes, because until the final those who did not like it just ignored it in hope that eventually good taste wins.

Tougher to ignore it after you know that a song many experts call as "disgrace", "disgusting", "not a music", "a freakshow" won after all.

Their mistake to ignore it, they should have voted against it in the final then if it makes them so angry.

LOL, As far as I know there is no option in Eurovision to vote "against the song". Please, correct me if I am wrong!

Don't worry you are not alone. Netta was my # 42. But I am getting used to it that songs win that are not in my top 10 either. ;)

In all seriousness, though, the YouTube like/dislike ratio has been bad for most winners in the first couple days after their win then steadily improves. Conchita, for example, took a while to get >50%.

And not only that, I do not care how many people hate it, I still love Toy and it still is the winner xshrug

It seems those that are truly happy about the chicken song winning are the fans that want Eurovision to be a circus and festival of trash and absurdities. Those who want it to be about the best song and good music are unhappy now.

Eurovision is for all genres of music, I want it to remain that.

Oh, look at me, I am so much better than those idiots who like a song I don't like, my taste is amazing, your taste is shit, and that's an objective fact.

Netta was my second favourite after Eleni and I am happy that she won. I was also extremely angry with the results from the Azerbaijani jury but Im glad they gave her at least 4 points and she won our televoting. Well deserved Israel xcheer1

P.s. Some people dislike Israel as a country so the number of dislikes and the hatred around it have to do with that too. A little deja vu of 2011 when Azerbaijan won xwave

All genres including trash and joke entries, if that's a genre, should be able to participate but winning is a different story.

If you honestly think this song was the best then you don't have good taste. Don't blame the messenger.

Of course it's a genre, if you don't like it, it doesn't mean it's trash.
I don't know what music was invented for, but my guess is it was for entertainment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entertainment
It can also make you cry, laugh, dance... This year we laugh and dance, we don't have to cry every year...
