Not your fault to have a particular preference, you can like what you want. But to say something is crap without any reason beyond you don't get the style seems to be the general approach here. It's just not that interesting or enlightening. People can try and justify their preference as somehow being some intelligent judgement, but it shouldn't convince anyone except those who happen to share whatever preference you have. And then they can pat each other on the back for having the same preference, but that's all it is, a preference whatever they might want to persuade themselves.

I don't usually like songs with a message. I don't think music needs it althouth occasionally it can be a good means of conveying something positive. Not in a contest, however, where it always tends to sound so oportunistic and fake.

This one is no exception.
Plus,and more to the point, it is as boring and unimaginative as boring and unimaginative can be.
