Well considering I hate Ryks song I hope not.

Right, voXXclub are so pro-american... it's really disgusting how they keep on bringing these kind of pro-American music to the contest that sound exactly like... oh, wait, right... voXXclub does Bavarian music with yodeling... so not American

OK, so listened to all the songs. Here is my ranking.
1. Xavier Darcy - Jonah : The song that caught me straight away on first listen. Has a low ceiling, but very enjoyable. 8/10
2. Michael Schulte - You Let Me Walk Alone : Growing on me with every listen, this is Germany's best shot at a good result at ESC. Emotional, touching and a great voice. 8/10
3. Ivy Quainoo - House on Fire : Catchy and powerful. Good voice. Not entirely my style. 6/10
4. Natia Todua - My Own Way : Solid, but forgettable. Could have an interesting stage show. 5/10
5. Ryk - You and I : Germany by the numbers, but nothing wrong with it. 5/10
6. voXXclub - I mog Di so : I'm with Sean here. If Germany sends this we need to relegate them. Hell, make them sit out 2019 for their sins. One of the worst NF songs I've ever heard. Just a loud wall of noise with no particular melody. Actually offensive to my ears and my very soul. I think I need to call in Father Karras after listening to that, and I'm a bloody atheist. 0/10
Overall, as long as Germany don't send that total shitfest, they won't embarrass themselves in Lisbon. But I think Michael is top 10 with the right presentation.

Ok, thats not too bad, but they failed the mission again. There is not a winner song in the whole bunch. But at least there is hope we won't end up at the last place again. With luck we might reach top 10, but top 5 is far away.

Have to agree here. Though being German I don't listen to that kind of music. We've heard them thousands of times. Basically every second song on German radio.

They are not exactly known for high quality journalism + they have a feud with ARD/ZDF. So no surprise there.

Rehearsals dont seem to go too well from what I am reading on prinz blog so far. The stage seems to limit each performance and Natia didnt deliver and VoxxClub doesnt as well ..
I am dissappointed that Germany is once again in a studio and not a hall .. I mean, this is such a small copy of the stage in Lissabon, how the hell are the acts supposed to rock it in there? :?

I have to admit that Bild is usually actually much more competent regarding ESC than Spiegel, Focus, Welt, Süddeutsche etc..

I'm starting to have a really bad feeling about the NF...
It wouldn't be suprising at all Iif Natia Todua is going to win with a very, very radio-friendly but forgettable song. Please, haven't we learnt from the last years? :-( With her winning The Voice this year it would be a bit (positive) suprise if she wouldn't win this NF, and win another last place for Germany.

Girl please, Michael just had an amazing rehearsal and moved a lot of press people to tears. Ivy just impressed many with her amazing performance... calm down, you don't have to worry. You can start to worry if Natia or voXXclub are anywhere close to the Top3 in the selection
