I did not like the performance at "Bettina & Bommes" as much as the one in the "Fernsehgarten" from last sunday. "Black Smoke" doesn't get better when it's sung faster, maybe she should also do a slower version for promo reasons.

I've noticed that she's bent to sing faster in the acoustic performances and slower on the prerecorded music.
I've read somewhere that there was an early version of Black Smoke which was 2:30 long. Then she has probably stretched it to 3:00 to fit the eurovision standard. She probably sings that early version on acoustic performances for some reason. xshrug

I have just added something to my post above, maybe you could tell me your opinion about that, too?

And another thing I would like to mention: Until now Ann Sophie did a very fine job at all her interviews and talk show appearances. She never appears arrogant or dumb and in that perspective one can say that she's a good representative for Germany and she makes the best out of the "unpleasant" situation after the "Kummert desaster".
On the other hand, Cascada in 2013 and Elaiza in 2014 also presented themselves very well, but that didn't make their songs better. Good public relations won't save "Black Smoke" from being placed around rank 20 in the final.

Yes, she seems to be a lovable person. Even when I can't understand what she says because it's in german, I can still perceive a warm kindness in her behaviour.
But she's also a very charismatic performer on stage. That's what Cascada and Elaiza lacked the previous years, and that's why they went unnoticed. I don't think it will happen with Ann Sophie (at least it didn't happen for me).

Wow, this thread will explode if we document every single step of her. Maybe someone could tell us what she had for dinner and when she went to bed last night? xrofl2 xpopcorn

Thanks for the video link.
The performance at "Verstehen Sie Spaß?" was not as "powerful" as recent others. Ann Sophie did not move that much, she stayed at one spot on the stage. Also her gestures during the song were not so "big". But that might be connected to the audience at this rather "conservative" Saturday evening show. The vocals were flawless as usual, that never seems to be a problem. I liked the clothing (mostly black) better than the "Fernsehgarten" appearance last Sunday.
At the ESC Ann Sophie will have a much more enthusiastic audience, and I think she will adjust the stage performance accordingly.

Another cause could be the square of lights around her, so she couldn't move around the stage.

IMHO, nothing beats the jumpsuit she had on "Schlag den Raab". xheat

But yesterday's one is good, too. And she's probably going to choose it, since she has been using it more often than the others.

Edit: I've seen the other musical performances of the night. There is no square of lights for the others, so it's not part of the stage.
Maybe it's something that she has chosen to have, to try and see if it fits the song. xshrug

I'm not sure about that - I think we'll see her wearing something different, something "special" on the 23rd. But I'd love to see her wearing the outfit from Schlag den Raab

The NDR really seems to take things more serious.
Ann Sophie works together with famous choreographer Nikeata Thompson xshock

If it´s not the one from Fahrenhaidt, it´s good ;) And she always has these headlights in the background. I like it :)
