Gosh I'm so annoyed by those Germans who seem to have no idea about Eurovision and still try to talk about how bad the chances for Ann Sophie are. oOX
I should stop reading Facebook comments ....

The same applies for the guys who selected the songs for the national finals. Maybe frozen silience had the potential to reach the top 10, but not the rest.
But after they decided to take this away from the NDR, there is hope. Maybe they involve Stefan Raab. He was involved 5 times and we reached the top 10 every time, no matter he wrote, sang or produced.

Só NDR is not involved in the NF process next year?

When was the last time a big 5 song didn't bother with a promo vid?
Very disappointed in the lackadaisical approach from Germany this year. I'm sure if Andreas didn't quit, he would be getting a lot more support than poor Ann Sophie seems to be getting.

I am not so sure about that. And even if he got more support, he likely won't be too happy about it. ;)

Wasn't the "Is It Right" video super late last year, too?

Edit: I put an exclamation point where I meant to put a question mark.

True.
On the other hand, it's the first time that a german entry has taken part in so many eurovision concerts before the final.
But making a video wouldn't have taken much time out of Ann Sophie's schedule. They just needed to give the task to some good director with a good idea. xshrug

Good morning, folks!

Bookies are starting to take notice of Ann Sophie's work.
+4 in the odds chart. xcheer

Still criminally underrated, but a step in the right direction all the same.

They totally are.
Her odds may further improve when she'll do the first rehearsal. Unfortunately, since she's one of the big 5, that will only happen on the last day, on Sunday 17th.

Tonight she will be on two shows:
at 22:00 at Bettina & Bommes, on NDR.
at 22:10 at LUKE! Die Woche und ich, on SAT.1

I think you can only take the first 5-10 from the odds serious. The others will depend on their live-performance at ESC. If she is as good as in London a place near place 15 should be fair.

I did not like the performance at "Bettina & Bommes" as much as the one in the "Fernsehgarten" from last sunday. "Black Smoke" doesn't get better when it's sung faster, maybe she should also do a slower version for promo reasons.

And another thing I would like to mention: Until now Ann Sophie did a very fine job at all her interviews and talk show appearances. She never appears arrogant or dumb and in that perspective one can say that she's a good representative for Germany and she makes the best out of the "unpleasant" situation after the "Kummert desaster".
On the other hand, Cascada in 2013 and Elaiza in 2014 also presented themselves very well, but that didn't make their songs better. Good public relations won't save "Black Smoke" from being placed around rank 20 in the final.
(I would like to know so very much how "Frozen Silence" from the national final would have done at the ESC. *sigh*)
