Really? Even in 2011, when Germany hosted the event, a higher percentage of the British public was watching. IMHO they do not view ESC as a "joke" necessarily but they traditionally have a much stronger sense of humour about the contest. Which even would be acceptable if they stopped accusing others of cheating everytime it is not going their way.However, none of their five last entries can be objectively classified as a "joke" entry.
Well, but it's not much to cheer for when they watch it to have a laugh and not because they actually like it and BBC trying to put some effort in it.
