YAAAAAAAA!! J'ADORE LA FRANCE!!!! I thought it was over after the jury vote, but the french public voted with their hearts and sent a really bold choice for Eurovision. However it goes in Lisbon, you should be proud France! TRES BIEN!! :D

Watching the entry right now. It's basically a women in a black jogging dress talking on stage. "Je m'appele merci". Seriously ? You call this lyrics ?
Compared to this, I think I was unfair to Alma last year, her song was a true chef-d'œuvre compared to this something.

J'adore la France, mais je ne comprends pas cette chanson, c'est ridicule, je crois.

Re: FRANCE 2018

Mark my words: MM can do a Poland 2016

Thank you for being right xrose I cried and almost couldn't breathe when they got the public points and came in 1st... I'm also proud the :bg: jury was the only one apart from the :is: (my fave country) to award its :12: to the masterpiece that is Mercy. It's true that their performance wasn't as strong as the one in the semi and my TV froze and missed at least 30 seconds from it. But I can see it doing really well, mark my words, I can't see it missing the top 5 and wouldn't be surprised if it won the whole Eurovision.

7 pts from me, it's a nice song but won't be one of my favs. I especially like the beat in the chorus.

Madame Monsoir is just as boring as Finland 2017

I feel like I'm missing something... Mercy isn't bad but it doesn't really stand out for me (I thought the entire selection was a bit dull tbh)... it might grow on me and make my top ten. I understand it has a story, but so did Occidentali's Karma and that didn't really land in the end (I think the story just didn't translate - literally). Anyway, it's definately not an embarrassing choice, but I don't predict it to be a winner (happy to be proved wrong, would love to see France host again)!

No matter the outcome, a lot of people were either going to celebrate or be disappointed prooving that this national final was very strong. A lot of potential top 10 in this selection but I do believe France has made the right choice and I sincerely hope Madame Monsieur would bring a great result to the country.

I'll vote for it next May, it'll probably be my number #1 until then but let's wait and see for the other songs.

To be honest, remember how much people complained about Jamala singing about the war between Crimean tatars and stuff. What did happen then? :D
