This song had potential... but literally went absolutely nowhere. She had no energy at all. I think this would have been much better if she was moving about more, had dancers with her maybe and didn't act like she hadn't slept in 3 weeks. Tbh not one song tonight so far has jumped out to me as anything other than middle of the road, not bad but not great either.

Well, most of the performers are just standing there moving awkwardly. Of course that will diminish the potential of the songs, it makes them sound very middle of the road.
Eurovision is not a show where studio versions of song are judged, it's a live performance contest. I'm sure things will sound better in Lisbon though, and the musical quality has been pretty good so far, it's just that it's all feeling a little bit flat live.

Emmy and Lisandro are the only ones, whose entries truly stand out.

Pheno Men - "Jamais Sans Toi": I'm all for musical diversity - and I'd love Belgium 2011 to have a successor in the vocal ensemble category - but I'm not sure if this song would be a wise pick. I like the mood of the song, ironically though, I wish it were entirely in English, the lyrics in French are kinda cringe-worthy imo. Too bad :? Vocally, they're all okay without being great performers either. The end without any accompaniment is the best part, shame it's so short. We won't see them in the final, that's for sure. As Isabelle Boulay said it, there were issues in terms of pitch.
