Game over. Hopefully YLE learned their lesson now and UMK16 won't be another fiasco.

I rather prefer to flop with PKN than pass to the final with a mediocrity like Satin Circus.

PKN's performance tonight was really good, and I'm sad they didn't qualify. Still, it was a complete toss-up whether people would or wouldn't warm up to this from the beginning, and the latter happened.

The only act from this year's UMK I would've considered replacing PKN with was Opera Skaala. In the end, we sent a good song with a good performance, but it wasn't enough. Better luck next year.

lavieenrose pssssssssst.... It appears we shan't be drinking tears tonight. This is very upsetting. If we are not careful the night could end with our tears being swallowed. Such a sad ending. We championed them from the beginning and predicted success for them but it wasn't to be. I thought their performance tonight was shockingly awesome and up there with the very best of the night. It's a shame that they rocked tonight but they are missing out, whilst cats having rough sex in Armenia managed to pass. The worst live performance i've heard in years makes it over what I think is the most misunderstood entry. I'm so upset for the band.

I'm really interested to see the split voting for this one. Am I going to hate this rank all the songs thing even more than I do already?

I actually preferred the "screamier" vocal they used now to the previous versions.

I bet it got lots of televotes then, damn juries probably rated it last of all.

The vocal's head move was disturbing. The song should have not even to be written from the start. Not a surprise Finland failed.

I'm a little sad, but no tears here. They did what they had to do, and I'm super proud of them personally.

Yeah, i'm really proud of them as well and I wasn't expecting those monstrous vocals. I thought they were brilliant tonight and among the best of them there. I'm just scared now there is a real scary possibility of losing all my top favourites this year. Would be a fitting end to what was already a disastrous Eurovision season for me.

It was clear, that they would not qualify! The song is so not eurovision!
And it was badly performed - two times they were out of the rhythm and they did non connect with their public.
Bad song + bad performance = No place in the final.

This was really creepy and weird. I was sure from the beginning they would'nt be qualified.

I felt uncomfortable when they were on the stage...

Well that didn't apply for Armenia tonight it would seem. Armenia's song was a cluttered mess to begin with and the vocal performance was a disaster when it needed to be perfect for the type of song it was. Punk Rock is raw and grubby. It didn't need a perfect vocal, it just needed to be believable which it was. We don't know yet if it didn't connect with the public either. For all we know the public may have loved them and the jury might have put them last, killing that love. We have not seen the full picture yet.

Even if I'm glad, that they did not qualify (because I really think the song and the performance were not good enough), I feel sorry for the guys. So many people gave them the feeling, that they actually had a chance to win this, so they really started to believe it. They must be terribly disappointed!

I didn't want them to qualify but they surprised me in the semi. They should go back heads held high

I don't expect perfect clear vocals in a punk act. But there is a drummer for a reason. And even in punk rock you have a rhythm that gives the base for the singer. That didn't work tonight. And even in punk the singer connects with the audience. If he fails to do that, there is no chemistry between them and that's what happened here.
How does a singer, who does not look neither into the camera nor into the public (his face was directed downwards) or a musician who turns his back to the public for 95% of the 90 seconds connect to the public?
"Killing the love" is quite a dramatic expression for the simple fact, that they did not qualify, which was predictable. I have not seen ONE singe poll (apart from the not reliable betting odds) on the net that has seen Finland in the final. We are not talking of a widely loved act here. Musically speaking, that is definitely a niche market.

I should have expected it, and I knew it wouldn't a jury-friendly act, but I'm pretty upset that Finland didn't qualify :( Their frontman really went ALL out. Their performance may not have been pleasant for everyone, but it was totally epic and it's too bad that the rest of Europe won't get to hear that.

Can't help but lol at the bookmakers who placed this sixth. Ridiculous. Even Dustin the Turkey was a better joke song.

I do feel a little bad for these guys though. It looks like the Finish organizers used them and thought would win a sympathy vote. Which, of course, was a ridiculous idea to begin with.

I hope the guys in the band had fun anyway.

And I'm not saying that mentally handicapped people can not perform great music, but this was just utter garbage. And that's coming from someone who is actually a big fan of harsh music genres.

Anyway, I'm very glad the idea that a joke song can win or perform well is once again dispelled.

I'm sorry, but I doubt anyone has voted for this tonight. This was as sad as it was disturbing and people don't vote for sad, disturbing things. It felt like someone was using those poor creatures, deceiving them into believing they were actually doing something worthwhile. It was an awful, awful moment and I'm glad it is all over.

Creatures???????? Oh god...

I'm very disappointed they didn't make it because their performace was great and certainly they deserved to qualify over songs like Armenia or Albania. I'm really curious about the full results now, I bet it didn't end last in the televoting.
