+1I want A-lister and stargazer to host
Oh man I can see that now...I want A-lister and stargazer to host
She's been on Bolibompa I think, she was the co-host of that awful magicians show on SVT (together with Marie Serneholt) and she's been the host of the sommarlovsmorgon show for a few years now.^
Problem with Kristan Luuk and that "gang" is that they may be fun, but not in occasions like these. I think the hosts CAN be fun, but it still has to be with respect towards the contest, which I think he never showed as host for MF or commentator in ESC.
Kattis and Anders were a bore, I never liked any of them.
Rickard Olsson is annoying and I guess thank God I dunno who this Malin is then (atleast not just by her name)
So I just watched the "Loreen welcome home victory celebration" on SVT, and Christer Björkman more or less hinted my biggest fears: ESC 2013 will be Sweden's political correct message to Europe.
WHY can't they just leave this domestic political agenda out just ONCE!? Europe doesn't care SVT!!!!

Now I know that you're very passionate about ESC taking place in your home country again, but what are you talking about? You seem to be laced with paranoia about political correctness. Could you explain yourself further, please?
Maybe I care and Sweden has every right to spread the messages it wants. Why can't other countries like me be so open-minded and cosmopolitan like Sweden and Denmark. I think life would be easier for a lot of people.
There's something we could learn from you, so don't prohibit yourself to have your say because you think it might embarass you!
So you say Sweden hates Sweden but embraces everything else?

Political correctness how? Did he just say that or do you have specifics?
He said, vague quote: "and we will show Europe that Sweden is a open-minded country for everyone"....
Now that might sound all nice and good, but if you live in Sweden and follow the political debates and media, then you know that he means something more than that and it's highly a political statement.
30 years ago I would have never said that, but now such words in Sweden means much more.
True, I don't live in Sweden so I don't know what all of that entails but what would you consider potically correct? If they make a statement such as "all religions are respected" would you consider that open minded or politically correct?
Big yes for Victoria Silvstedt, she is famous in France, the french part will be easy for her.
What I could understand from his statement, is that they will probably NOT showcase anything traditional or "too" Swedish, but more the cultural diversity that really is more or less just 20-30 years old.
It's a very strange debate climate in Sweden, so when people talk about "openness" or "respect" they also say that "Swedish" is "bad". Yes, it sounds strange for outsiders, but that's how wicked it has become here.
