We let them tell us what to do
Why why why
We live to die for worthy things
Oh ya ya ya

We promised we would never lose our pride
Your word's worth nothing if you lie
We're standing tall and looking up, our Father would be proud
And I'm happy to be working my own ground

We'll be the last ones breathing here

Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

We're taught that we were born to lose
But why why why
Don't waste your breath, it's time to choose
Oh ya ya ya

We promised we would never lose our pride
Your word's worth nothing if you lie
We're standing tall and looking up, our Father would be proud
And I'm happy to be working my own ground

I said
Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

I hope

We let them tell us what to do
Why why why
We live to die for worthy things
Oh ya ya ya

No matter what they try, tearing up our lives
I know we will always rise

I said
Hey, sing your heart out boy
For all the people great and small
Oh, when all else is lost
The future still remains our own

I hope

The future still remains our own

I hope

Simply robed...
I listened to Ariadne's music thanks to you, Mimmon. Ok, it's not bad but it's very monotone. I waited during the song for the "strong moment" that would have ruffled my hair but this moment never came. If we add to this the detestable autotune… we have the perfect recipe for a non-qualification to the ESC final.

This is a song that I would listen to with suffused volume in a private room of a nightclub while I'm making out with my girlfriend. Nothing more than that.

ranking the NQ's

An-Marlen - "Lõpuks muutub"
Ariadne - "Shouldn't be friends"
LEVVIS - "Let's talk about"
Dramanda - "Tule minu sisse"
Goodreason - "Three days ago"
Eleryn Tiit - "Tunnete keel"
Silver Jusilo - "Elu rüpes"
Fiona & Me - "Feel like this"

Wiiralt - "Kuradile"
Meisterjaan - "Vahel lihtsalt"
Kéa - "Everytime"
Emily J - "Quicksilver"
deLULU - "Music saved my soul"
Traffic - "Kaua veel"
Little Mess - "Hea päev"
Desiree - "Siiani"
Lauri Pihlap - "Take me home"
Peter Põder - "Koos lõpuni"

Shira - "Under water"
Jessica - "My mom"

Overall, the Quarterfinals did a well enough job at rooting out the insipid (other than Minimal Wind, wtf?). The two I'm really sad about are An-Marlen and Ariadne because I strongly feel they were screwed over by their draw and should have made the semifinals if they had been in the first Quarterfinal. The others I liked were always doomed, so w/e. Please come back next year!!

Oh well. At least the we'll get lives on the best songs. Best Eesti Laul since the Rahula Era started! Anyone but Ott to win thx.

The only reason why I think Minimalise Wind or whatever band was called qualified is because they love good old indie rock...It happened before unexpected indie rock song a few years ago.

Btw, will we have Wild Cards ? Should be logic to have like 4 Wild Cards and get 24 participants in semis

I think Black Velvet with steal Helen's thunder and make the final. The Sven factor doesn't hurt for a late 80's sounding song.

Just listened to the songs from tonight and think it was quite a strong heat. And my favorites Black Velvet + Elysa came through :-) A bit sad for Dramanda though, "Tule minu sisse" was a very interesting song.

Desiree is another robbed one.... Still kinda sad she didn't made it
In my opinion, one reason for that she didn't advance - the pronunciation of the lyrics was quite bizarre and unnatural in some places (maybe it supposed to be like that, IDK). And maybe Estonian voting audience was not very into that xthink Of course, obviously foreign audience couldn't tell any difference. Personally, I don't have a hearing problem, but I still had to look up the lyrics to understand some parts. OR - maybe I was too drunk during the 2nd QF  The song itself isn't bad at all, I don't say that.

My favorites from quarterfinal 4 were Per Mudd & Shira, Eleryn Tilt, and Dramanda. The qualifiers were pretty predictable (especially the televote ones) other then minimal wind feat. elisabeth tiffany which might grow on me.

I listened to a recap of the qualifiers and the only songs that I really liked were:

What To Make Of This - I actually really like this it is probably my favourite but I haven't heard any song as a whole.
Hope - This would be my favourite as I really like the music, but the chorus is too repetitive lyrically
Remedy - It is a great song, it just takes a bit too long to reach to a climax. Maybe if they revamp the second chorus a bit to make it more powerful and not just the same as the first, it will help.
Mis nüüd saab - Lovely song, I'm just a bit afraid that live it won't be as good.

If Ott wins this thing we wouldn't have had this much ham on the Eurovision stage since dear little aw bless Ari Ólafsson performed Our Choice for Iceland back in 2018. Aovalguses has some highs for sure but by god is it dated. I dislike using that word but it's hard not to in this case as the song has been dragged kicking and screaming from 90s Eurovision, the decade from which ballads have aged like milk.

Having said that, I find Aovalguses no worse than anything else that advanced last night, and there's maybe only a couple of songs I think are a bit better in this selection. Vaikus actually shares similar issues as Ott's song but the whole thing leaves a less dodgy aftertaste. I'd say that one is probably my favourite. Waiting for a live performance of Elina's Remedy as for now it's nice but just there. I kind of like Helen's song too but it feels without a chance here. Overall I feel this is a very middling national final.

Happy to see Ott qualifying. It's not Kuula, but it's for sure a good song and a deserved qualifier. As for the rest: I can enjoy "Fire" but it's a bit like Christmas cookies: you appreciate the well known taste, but after a couple of them you start worrying about your health. But of course you continue...
The rest of the line up left me completely unimpressed.
