But that is the point, it should NOT be allowed. Such excessive pyro's should not be allowed. They can only be afforded by the rich countries and should be saved for winning songs....once they have won.
To have a pyro don't guarantee a place in the Final or a success. If a country can afford it let it do it. It's also not a must to do it, for instance Germany in 2010 could afford a more expensive performing but instead they just show a young girls in black outfit singing alone....and she won.
Answer me this. If there is absolutely no real advantage to having it, then why do some countries spend thousands paying for it. It's unfair and takes the song further and further away from being a song contest. It will eventually ruin Eurovision for many people. It's already happened and this will be the final nail in the coffin if the EBU isn't careful.
Now that really is me, done. I have said my piece.
Well anyone could have opted for glitter drops & waterfall... and it was similar to how it was performed in the Danish NF, so it's not as if it was staged to win (although a friend of mine did say that the use of such props is unfair - but if the option was available, why not use it?)
'Only teardrops' riding high on iTunes charts all over Europe - good sign?

Perhaps you should tell Cypriotgirl that this constitutes an advantage. She doesn't seem to be able to grasp that concept.
The fact that money can buy you an advantage doesn't sit well with me. It creates a divide between the rich countries and the poor countries. I really do feel that this level of "non-creative" staging should be banned.
Yes, I'm so stupid you see
If they have the money to spend in making something on stage that will help them, why not doing it? Should they feel pity for the poor countries because they don't have the means to do something like that?
And I come from a country that faced an injustice in the past. In 2007, our representative asked slow motion and EBU didn't allow this because they said it was against the rules. Last year, Sweden used slow motion so everything was ok. But I don't think it's Sweden's fault, and in this case it's not Denmark's fault (if you think that they'd deny the glitter drop to any other contestant).
I really want to to win and i will vote for it in finale , but i think she wont win > Ale Eurovision 2011 Results.
There are still guys who doubt, that it wins? I don't like to say it, but now i think, it's pretty obvious that it will big time.blein, Im scared too, Im going to bee that until its finally over on Saturday... but I have decided that I will focus on all the youtube + OGAE + Press voting + iTunes fans who like Emmelie that I will not give in to those 30 people in here who hate the song and those who doubt that we win.......
because I believe this song can win and thats what maters
