I have seen on the internet some comments "Cyprus will withdraw" and "Cyprus wants to withdraw from ESC 2013" and and and... Why I haven't heard anything if this was true? :?

Yeah, this is obvious! I mean that in Cyprus recently appeared some independent record companies that encourage artists to stay in Cyprus instead of going to Greece to make a career! I like this a lot! We can finally have our own music scene!

Giorgos Papadopoulous would be good, BUT with a Greek song (his English accent is not the best), and with a song in his style (pop-rock ballad, or pop-rock uptempo) not something outside his style (dance etc)... And something that he himself will write, since he's a singer-songwriter, not something that a Swedish team will write for him.!
My favorite song of him is:
And these are nice too:
My concern is that sometimes he writes some songs that are boring... His latest album lacks a strong song, I found it quite bad...

I like Giorgos Papadopoulos, I think he would be a good choice for Cyprus. I agree that a song in Greek from him would be best. I don't think his English accent is that bad, but I feel like he looses something in English compared to Greek.

By the way, how ironic would it be if the rumors of Mihalis Hatzigiannis for Greece were true. (since some say they have similar sounding voices) I know it's not likely for Greece though, but still.

This was long before he moved to Greece and started a career there, he was famous only here. Michalis Hatzigiannis has a song "O Vythos Sou" and that song was from 2004. His fans, though, were writing that Giorgos copied even the title of Michalis' song (while G's song was released before the one of M)!
