For some reason I hope it'll be an uptempo one, I really want a modern laiko uptempo song in ESC and since Greece might send a greek ballad with a female this year, it could be smart for Cyprus to atleast differ in tempo.

Despina has NEVER sing in her career moderno laiko.

I love both of Evridiki songs in 90's so anything near that quality will be awesome in my opinion.

I know that song and like it, not as much as 1992, 1994, 1995 which I adore but it's very good.

Well, I'm not saying it's a bad thing that it'll be a ballad but just hypothetically speaking if Greece picks Aggeliki Iliadi (who may also have a Greek ethno ballad) then they might play eachother out... but if both are good they might succeed of course.

I'm dissapointed because Valando and Michalis are not going to Eurovision because of political reasons. and that makes me mad.

Despina Olimpiou is a good choice too and I hope for a good greek song .

I am disappointed for that too, it seems like we became the new Ukraine/Belarus where the president gets involved even in ESC. Well, his days are over (in a while). Although last year there were rumors that it was him who pushed the things to send Ivi, because her family was in "connections" with him or "supporters" of him (because both of her parents studied in Russia, and there were comments from far right-wing supporters that "he chose that half Bulgarian girl because she is communist like him" OMG 3) but I don't know if it's true, it might have some amount of truth, but anyway it was a good choice after all

But on the other hand, Despina Olympiou is one of our best female singers and I'm happy with the choice. It will be a Greek song anyway, that's what CyBC website stated already, it will be a ballad in Greek. I hope for a dramatic ballad, not a sleepy one or a boring one (in my mind come many things, and one of them is something like "Nebo", and please not!)

As for an uptempo modern laiko, oh dear, Despina Olympiou doesn't sing such songs, why she has to sing in ESC something like this?
