I bet everyone who thinks this is bad has only heard that live version with bad sound quality.... the other versions are FANTASTIC imo, one of the best of this year so far, and it seems a pretty good year.... really curious how this will turn out!

Great news, Alexeev allowed to sing original english version (which was presented on 11th January) on ESC

Good news indeed! The new version was lame. Upgraded my score from a 3 to a 6 xheya

I have a feeling he will be much better in Lisbon, and do much better than this poll indicates..

I'm glad he will sing the original version, that one sounds better. He's currently last in my ranking and I really hope he improves his english and his singing

:by: will do TOP-5 this year if juries don't kill him for his occasinally weak vocals. I may even suppose he can win televote like Lazarev. I'm still glad he rejected to enter Vidbir. Person that earns money performing on russian channels shouldn't ever represent our country.

Actually, if you ask me, I think that Alexeev will fare much better in Lisbon than the Ukrainian entry Under the Ladder xrofl3xroflxrofl2

I only pray that Alexeev doesn't sing badly live... But the song itself is wonderful in my opinion. If he sings well, it will be easily top10 in my opinion. Since he is very famous across all ex-USSR states, he will pick up many, many, many points. Even from Ukraine :)

Lol. There is many differences but the similarity, especially on the chorus is just exactly the same. An unfortunate coincidence or intentional, Idk. Tbh this should be investigated.

I really like this song. At the same time, I have the strong feeling that I really shouldn't. Nevertheless, I give it 10 points.

If you mean live, I can understand you too well. He doesn't hit any note correctly.:? But I like the original video.

I'm scared to watch the live performance, so I haven't watched it yet  But I love this song   Lovelovelove the melody (super catchy and something about the progression really pulls me in ... though with the plagiarism inklings that might be thrown out the window as well). It's also very Slavic electro-euro-pop, but nevertheless this song and the atmosphere really captivates me. It's one of the only entries I actually remember, want to listen to and don't find boring. It's not the most quality-filled entry and undoubtedly it's cheesy and the lyrics are dodgy, but that kind of makes it even more lovable to me. Perfect for Eurovision, at least the "good" old days, would've been a classic.

I think people are overreacting a tad on the live performance; don't be too scared. Yes, his main performance in the NF wasn't great, but his winner's reprise was better past about the first 15 seconds, so perhaps the first performance had some issues. Also note that for the NF, Alekseev was singing the modified version of the song, which had a melody that really didn't lend itself to an impressive performance (even in the studio version, the new melody just sounded like Alekseev was hitting flat notes everywhere) and has since been abandoned in favour of the (better) original version. I wouldn't say he'll be a perfect live performer in May, but I don't think he'll be noticeably terrible either.

Here's the reprise performance:
