Hehe, typical song from Belarus. And I wouldn't be surprised if the manage to qualify again for the finale.

If the vocals stay the same, it will follow the fate of I Love Belarus.

The problem here is that the sound and colour of his voice are dreadful a priori, not just the live performance. It gives me actual pain. Neither the high notes nor the low notes are pleasant to hear.

That's exactly the same for me when I listen to Margaret singing live.

i feel like this is finally the time the ancient belarussian tradition of completely discarding the NF winning song returns. they have to, right? they don't believe.... this can get mote than 50 points in a semifinal, right? right???

The Russian version is so much more fascinating. The sound of language and words perfectly match with the music.

But it's impossibile we will hear that version in Lisbon, isn't it?

Positive things first: Belarus got the note that there will be no LED screens in Lisbon!
Negative things: everything else.

Dammit Belarus, I was getting all warmed up for a whole new chapter of your Eurovision entries after last year.

would be even better news if they went further back and chose the original without the English.

while it's not the "throw the song in a sacrificial pyre like our forefathers" i was hoping for, this song is a lot more palatable in ukrainian and also will probably sound better live because poor alekseev looks like he's using all of his brainpower to pronounce the english words and has nothing left to make himself not sound like a kidnap victim in a ransom video. i might even like it or something.
