I'm a godless spy
I'm a spy, I uncover
All of your secrets, I want them
There's no stopping me now
I'm a liar
Playing the game of desire
Ain't gonna leave no survivors
Would you fall for me now?

Just like Cleopatra (Aah-aah)
The army of lovers
I start a fire
Yalan da mən yanan da mən yaman da mən

Ma-Ma-Ma-Mata Hari
Mata Hari
(Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma)
(Ma-ma-ma-ma) Ma-Ma-Ma-Mata Hari
Mata Hari
(Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma)
(Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma)
Mata Hari

Undercover
I am a dangerous lover
Drinking my poisonous water
And you're under my spell
Mesmerizing
Moving my hips, you are trying
You can't resist, try to fight it
Got a story to tell

Just like Cleopatra (Aah-aah)
The army of lovers
I start a fire
Yalan da mən yanan da mən yaman da mən

Ma-Ma-Ma-Mata Hari
Mata Hari
(Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma)
(Ma-ma-ma-ma) Ma-Ma-Ma-Mata Hari
Mata Hari
(Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma)
(Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma)
Mata Hari

Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma
Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma
Just like Cleopatra
Let's start a fire (Shh)
Let's go

Ma-ma-ma-ma, Mata Hari
Ma-ma-ma-ma, ma-ma-ma-ma, Mata Hari
Mata Hari

Well, it was only a matter of time until this rubbish started I suppose. There is a petition to throw Azerbaijan out going around. (n)

I won't put much emphasis on this petition. If Belarus can continue to participate, I don't see why Azerbaijan can't.

To be honest, I'm sick of people politicised the competition. Why can't we just put our differences aside and just focus on the music and the fun/joy the contest brings. There are always other platforms to raise social or political issues.

Don't get me wrong - I actually like this song. The end comes across a little bit messy for my taste, but the overall ethnic vibe is something that I usually love in ESC.

Tnis video is not rubbish, imo - she makes her point clear; and the petition thing has been discussed pages before.
But is it a reason to boycott this entry or make a fuss around it? Efendi is an artist, not a politician holding some power. I dislike this side of youtube and I have lost some respect to that youtuber whose videos I've watched a couple of times. I really doubt she's all that concerned about Armenia or knows all the details of this conflict, she's just a normie girl who probably thinks that 'cancelling' virtue signalling videos are cool.

I just read that Mads Enggard, a Dane, is staging Azerbaijan this year. I don't know anything about him though xthink

Well, I saw some content now. To be fair, I've seen Dilara, Samra, and Chingix for example supporting their own country and government. Nothing new here

This Noosh girl is so manipulative it's actually scary, she called Efendi homophobic because she took a pic with the president?? ok far fetched and a clear choice of words. while she has supportive lyrics literally in her last song. I

Even how she was giving 5 seconds to the hate comments, and 1 to the positive ones even though even she said the positive ones were overwhelming and extensive compared to the negative ones from Azeris and Turks.

It seems clear that she is selling an agenda and then in the end calling people to sign the petition I- :ROFLMAO:

All I'm gonna say is, it takes one to know one:

🐍 That's not just a snake, that's the whole anaconda 🐍

The first part of Noosh's explanation is perfectly fine, but the second part, i didn't like.
Even I would take a photo with Aliyev if he'd ask me to. Or if i thought it would help my career. That doesn't make me a homophobe or his supporter.

No hard feelings tho. She's doing her best to separate politics and eurovision and is still ove of the civilised ones. She said so many positive things about "Cleopatra" last year.
Knowing how brainwashed both sides are, i let some things slip for both sides.

I understand her reason not to react to Azerbaijan. The YouTuber is Armenian so I see why she feels that way. And the comments she has received are absolutely disgusting.

But

What Efendi has done is take a photo with her country's leader and celebrate a military victory (it's war so obviously each side thinks they're the good guys). Eastern European countries are patriotic and nations like Turkey and Azerbaijan have great respect for their military, so Efendi supporting them on her social media isn't too unnatural.

It's funny how we have literal dictator propaganda and a country willing to drop their artist for having dual citizenship, but Efendi is the big talk (maybe it's the fact that they have a whole nation rooting against them or even deeper issues I won't dive in...)

And should these issues affect Eurovision? If yes, then goodbye to like big portion of the Eastern European countries and part of the Balkans.

Preaching about loving Eurovision no matter the politics and trying to make a point that she has no issues with the people of Azerbaijan then going on to question an individual's morals based on a type of post that probably many Azerbaijani people shared/posted and agree to and promoting a petition, which feels like an afterthought idea after the many other petitions that came up before is not the right way to handle a topic like this.

Anyway, embarassing

It's one thing if she (ie. Noosh) doesn't want to react to Efendi and her song due to her personal reasons/political views, which is fine.
It's another thing if she is "inciting" people to sign the petition to "cancel" Efendi.

I find her super contradictory, if she wants to promote love and "togetherness" through her channel and knows what ESC is about, then she should not have politicised ESC especially when Efendi/Azerbaijan did not use ESC to promote their political views etc. And to compare Efendi to Belarusian act when the latter clearly has violated the EBU rules is not correct.

I hope these people who are so into the "cancel" culture better make sure they don't fall into the "wrong" side of stuff or make any mistakes. Because "what comes around, goes around". Wait till they are the ones being subjected to the "cancel" movement.

It's ok, she is not obliged to make a reaction video to every song. We can't point gun on her head lmfao.
But yeah, I think her understanding of the situation is a bit limited.
Imagine staying silent and not posting supporting messages in an authoritarian country that is in the midst of a war lol.
I doubt these singers have a choice. Sirusho and Artsvik are as provocative as Chingiz and Efendi, all the same.

This slaps so hard that it literally brought me back from the DEAD to give it :12: points in the poll. What a banger, that oriental (cajka) drop is shaking the very core of my existence right now.
Azerbaijan-Cyprus-Croatia all in second half of SF1 is going to be particularly difficult. Ideally all three would advance.

i gave her a dislike

wtf is she doing??? she's the one making this about politics + only looking at this from one side
with those arguments a lot of countries "should be" disqualified and i don't think she has done her research on all artists this year to find tiny "flaws" in their life.
apparantly she has something against Efendi (jealousy, get well soon xqueenbitch)

so stupid

i will be rooting even more for Efendi to win now xheat

Now that all songs have been released (except Belarus, but I doubt I will like the artist's song to make a huge change).
I am re-evaluating all songs as per studio form and re-looking into my grading system and how I have ranked the songs according to my personal preference.

The song is my 4th favourite of this year's contest, so I am upgrading the rating to an :8:.

Idk if anyone realized but the song is 2:40 in length, I hope they are preparing some crazy ideas for the 20 extra seconds they have. An intro with traditional mugham singing? (like the guy in :az: 2012) xheat xheat xheat

Or extending the outro, the speed getting even higher until our eardrums explode? xheat xheat xheat
