It’s mostly a song I appreciate outside Eurovision. I don’t know about the possible outcome at Eurovision.

Its not really worth discussing it here imo. wasted love is just one of the greatest entries Austria ever had.
I just wonder if it is ok for ferbs & iman that their participation was made public.

They also wrote on their Instagram that this was a submitted song for the Eurovision internal selection.

Thanks for sharing the other song from the internal selection. I absolutely love Medea. It went straight to my 2025 playlist ! Totally my cup of tea. They should have keep it for next year because it would have been a great entry for Austria.

huh why is it not worth discussing? the artists themselves made it public and i thought the community might want to know about songs that participated

there are snippets of other songs that participated online aswell but as long as the artists themselves don't reveal that they were part of the process nothing is made public, no worries.

no.
I havent ever heard anything about these two artists. probably absolute newcomers.
Have you heard many reactions to it within Austria?
they are newcomers indeed and pretty much unknown in austria.
ferbs has a nice song in german called atlantis, iman has released a few singles aswell. they are only 19 & 22 years old, both are super sweet. they applied on their own and wrote the song themselves.

I think we have an austrian win here!
We all assume that Austria will win the Juries - and I can't see it not happening. Too many gimicky songs, + Netherlands isn't that unique.
And the televote will most likely place it 2nd, if not then 3rd - and should come out with the win.

Controversial: But my dad thinks that Israel will win and get 2nd across both sides

I disagree. Anything can happen once rehearsals start and many consider France a serious contender to win the juries.

I actually think Israel will be the winner too, depending on where the juries place it

Qualification for the final will happen. I have no doubt about it. However, I think that in the final "Wastes Love" will be one of the flops, if not the biggest flop, of the year. I won't say bottom 5 but outside the top fifteen positions.

I also think that Israel is the only country that can take away the win from Austria. But I doubt that juries will put it in their top 3 and then it will be difficult to win it all. The french song is not modern enough in my eyes.

Austria provided the best interval acts in 2015.
But please, if you win, just make sure the hosts are not those 3 ladies 🤭

Alice Tumler disappeared completely from Austrian tv. I think she only was chosen because of her good skills in english and french.
I am quite sure they would not go again for Arabella Kiesbauer.
Not that sure about Mirjam Weichselbraun since she still is very popular in Austria.
And quite sure that Conchita would be one of the hosts.
Maybe the Austrian commentator Andi Knoll could be one of the hosts.

But I would prefer ORF to cast different musicians or actors for the hosting.
My nightmare is Sylvia Schneider. :poop:

Mirjam Weichselbraun on Friday asking a guest juror on her show to sing part of her favourit musical song out of the blue. Fies!
Look at the facial expression of Maya Hakvoort.

I'm sure, ORF will choose Conchita and Andi. They already teamed up at the Amadeus Awards show.

This is topping the juries. This feels contemporary, artistic, original, has got enough mainstream appeal and the vocals will be great ( that vocal run near the bridge will be showstopping ). Those are all the criteria juries are asked to vote on.
His biggest competitors for the jury win will be Netherlands ( clean and radio friendly ) and maybe France, but I think he's going to leave a stronger impression to the juries than those.
The difficult part for Austria is persuading the televoters and overcome those 100-120 tele points that arent going to be enough for a win... A very impressive staging can help ( heard hes gonna have a boat and somehow create rain on stage? Sounds memorable enough ).
