I've really fallen for this entry tbh. It just makes me so happy.
Still totally cheesy, yet it totally has an uplifting and warm, but also a bit nostalgic energy that stands out from everything else. The mood is so fitting for the emotions I feel on the Eurovision night, I might vote for this in the final if it moves me enough, in every sense.

I'm really starting to think we're in with a chance this year, for better or worse. In my eyes, this came across much better live in Israel than, say, Netta or Sennek did, despite me preferring those two in their studio versions. (Edit: relistened through better speakers and can hear her missing more notes than I'd first thought. Now I'm back to being confused again).

Jessica managed to surprise in the end. She probably watched her performance in Denmark and felt ashamed and 4 years worked hard on her vocals, and now she slayed. Song is ok, will not stop Australia getting another top results as always

She performs it well but tbh I really don't get how people are hyping this as a possible winner while it's as basic as any 'pop-written-for-esc' song can come, while other countries with basic pop songs are getting slaughtered by the fans.
It's not a bad song at all, but i don't find it memorable or particularly exciting and I certainly don't think it would make a great winner.

I also don't understand how is this in the top 5 in the odds, and don't consider it as a contender. Dami Im was real contender, and this is just far, far from her and her song, even though it is average good, decent. If Dami didnt win, I wouldn't like this to win, simply because it is nowhere near strong entry like Sound of Silence is.

She doesn't hit the notes more than just a few times ... just like many other singers last night. And on stage she isn't actually that charismatic as in the vid. But doesn't Change anything. The song itself is very mediocre.

What do you mean with that statement? That vocals are not as important as the music in this case? If so, I think it is exactly a song that demands strong vocals. With weak vocals, she can forget the finals.
