ROUND 10 IN LO'PAIA
Riding high after that dominant performance last race, the drivers return to a track they know very well as it is where all their pre-season testing is done. But this visit, it's no test - the gauntlet is thrown down early by a stunning quali lap from Ewigkeit, but eventually this smooth and quick circuit that rewards consistency and pinpoint accuracy saw Sultana return to the top step of the podium. theditz83 is sneaking up on that leading spot in the championship again...
ROUND 11 IN BELVIST
Another unpredictable race unfolded at the halfway point of the season with this long circuit featuring some of the longest straights in the calendar really giving a challenge to teams that were struggling for raw pace. A surprise victory was on the cards here from Veronika, but marduk was the real victor seeing them back to the top of the championship once again!
ROUND 12 IN MOISANTIA
One of a couple of night-time races on this championship, Moisantia always brings the best fireworks to proceedings, and this race certainly delivered with that. Not only did Brian/iowacorn get their second points finish of the season (two races in a row, woooo!), we also saw a bit of a gap open at the top of the championship with another strong victory for Leydan... that car really is looking like a strong all-rounder now and the one to beat...
ROUNDS 13 & 14 IN SVOBODNIA & BALA KUNMENAI
Round 13 saw Destroyer enter the race again after a shocker of a race for Leydan saw his car being disqualified for being 1.5kg underweight at the end of the GP - gotta pick up that rubber at the end Leydan! But some balance was restored in Bala Kunmenai with a 2nd place, but theditz83 also jumped to the top step of the podium again - this championship is all over the place! Are you HYPED!!!!!!!!?????
ROUNDS 15 & 16 IN TAMAUSIA & DELTANNOR AND MERIDIA
Two legacy circuits back to back here - it's always super-difficult to overtake in Tamausia & Deltannor, but some unpredictable weather threw up quite a few surprising changes in the standings throughout the race in the lower points paying positions, but it was Kimrt and theditz83 with a switcheroo 1-2 finish across those two races to see their chances of taking this championship improve...
ROUND 17 IN SHB
Kimrt's strong form continued here with another strong 2nd place finish and a second win of the season from Aditya too. But theditz83 took advantage of Leydan crashing out after brake failure to take the lead of the championship once again with just 4 races left... who are you cheering on?
ROUND 18 IN VERMILION
What a difference a week makes. After an absolute shocker, Leydan's engineers did an amazing job rebuilding his car to ensure a dominating win in Vermilion - and in stark contrast, theditz83 suffering major hydraulics failure that stranded him at the side of the track, left to watch on from the castle precinct with no safe route back to the pits. A spectator, watching his lead disappear again...
A strong Grand Prix for the drivers that have struggled to find form this championship as well, bravo all!!
ROUND 19 IN NEW BANDER STATE
Vermilion and Rahasia-Diati rejoiced in the sandy dustbowl of New Bander State, where our current championship leaders really struggled to find a consistent flow, and only theditz83 could snag a 9th place finish. Fatigue is setting in for some drivers now, with Morty and strajker both testing the beep machines of the F1 broadcasting feed with their heated exchanges with their pit crews!
A tornado in during the planned GP weekend caused our whole championship to have to pivot last minute to head to Balearica Island for the penultimate race instead...
ROUND 20 IN BALEARICA ISLAND
And Leydan was clearly delighted at that decision, taking full advantage of a short lap time and strong all-round ability of his car to once again take the win. Is it all over?
And so we made it to the season finale in OOSINGIMAED...
Leydan / LO'PAIA is 10 points in the lead, with theditz83 / MOISANTIA the only one that can potentially catch him... but he'd need a win to snatch the title or a runner-up finish to potentially have a tie-breaker situation...
