That is magnificent, but what you react like that? It is confusing..Nah, he is going to win in the end.
RTP has more budget and experience to deal with tv cuts for this kind of songs. And you are 101% right about Henks obligation to bring A game performance for the semifinal. So, the irish nf was tonight and the choreographer that did Bobbi Arlo's staging will also be working on Henka's staging and that worries me a lot... From what he published on instagram it seems they had like 2 days(?) to do the choreo for Bobbi Arlo and the announcement that he would be working with Henka was made on december, mentioning that Henka's staging would be their first live project, so timeline-wise Bobbi Arlo's project came sometime after that and that gives a bit of hope that whatever they have done or are doing with Henka will be 1000x better, less messy and more memorable. Henka needs a winning performance and even tough I've been already mourning her not winning the nf, I still want her to blow everybody's socks.
I do not want to be delulu, but at this point, I am pretty sure that Diana Vilarinho, Fernando Daniel, Josh, Henka and Peculiar would be very very likely qualifiers. Portugueses fans are so negative, but I am the one who is confidentDiana Vilarinho - "Cotovia"
I will just say that, it will be ENOUGH...
EDU IS THE STAGING DIRECTOR??????Oh and let me tell you... seems that Josh has dancers (or human presence) for his staging. Streets from Cascais are pretty trustful.
From what I saw on his interviews, he is super motivated, knows eurovision really well and Edu (staging director) is serving.
Not brazilian aka Keiino saviour. It is the staging director of Iolanda.EDU IS THE STAGING DIRECTOR??????![]()
oooooh. Still a slay though. Iolanda's staging was massive. Not brazilian aka Keiino saviour. It is the staging director of Iolanda.
Yeaaa... I'm not sure what has exactly hapenned but Henka posted a instastory about haters a couple of days ago and she has the comments on her instastories turned off. From what I read in the in the lyrics videos the Josh fans have become rabid and I'm completly turned off by him...Oh and let me tell you... seems that Josh has dancers (or human presence) for his staging. In festival da canção it will not happen. It's really hard to do it in RTP studios. I think the performance will be pretty magic because of that. Let's see. I trust in Edu, he is coming up with something great.I just don't want JOSH to be too eurovisionized, it will probably loose some charm then..
I think the people that connected with the song is higher than you think and it may be mostly students from Madeira and Azores doing the tiktoks, but students from mainland Portugal that had to move to another city to go to university would feel the same thing. Same applies to adults that had to move from their hometown due to work, either to another part of the country or outside of it and there's those that returned home but that could also connect with the feeling. The TikTok algorithm took its time, but now Napa is finally showing up on my feed quite frequently. The song is good, but honestly, I don’t want my feed flooded with students from Madeira or the Azores expressing their homesickness.
And that’s exactly the question: is this the audience that will be willing to vote in large numbers? Financially speaking, an island student doesn’t typically have that much money… Will they actually spend it on voting? Or would they rather save it for a night out? In fact, will they even watch Festival da Canção that Saturday?
Wuant (one of the most famous YouTubers in Portugal among younger audiences) reviewed the songs on Twitch, where viewers could also vote between 1 and 3. The stream had an average of 300 votes, with Josh and Peculiar being the audience’s favorites. Henka also did quite well, I believe.
There is a mafia on YouTube every year playing and giving hate against other contestants. Last year, they were kinda divided between João Borsch and Iolanda, but in previous years was disgusting to read the comments boxes, especially in 2021 when NEEV flopped.Yeaaa... I do not think so.I think the people that connected with the song is higher than you think and it may be mostly students from Madeira and Azores doing the tiktoks, but students from mainland Portugal that had to move to another city to go to university would feel the same thing. And a big and very important segment of the public that you should consider are the musicians and artists, the judges. You have to move to Lisbon or Oporto if you actually want to have a music career in Portugal, so they could win not only the regional jury panel from Madeira and Azores, but from most regions.
I’m one of those cases—I had to move 100 km to study in Porto, so I completely understand the "struggle". I know what it’s like to be far from family, to be in an unfamiliar city (and I still feel it, as I’m in the final year of my master’s, although now, I also feel at home in Porto). And I like the song, I really feel it, but does that make me want to vote for it? No!I think the people that connected with the song is higher than you think and it may be mostly students from Madeira and Azores doing the tiktoks, but students from mainland Portugal that had to move to another city to go to university would feel the same thing. Those Portuguese from Switzerland who steal our diaspora points every year now!or outside of it
