Don't forget that we had 2 major celebrations in my country too and one sad one.

Justyna Kowalczyk got her chrystal globe for cross country skiing :) It was a very good season for her, she won her 3rd chrystal globe in a row, and she is the 2nd woman ever to do that!

Also in Ski Jumping Kamil Stoch won his 3rd competition this year, and Adam Małysz was 3rd. That made him being 3rd overall, and Poland is 3rd in nations cup.

The sad one is obvious - Adam Małysz finished his career :( On Saturday he takes part in his last competition, but it's only his good bye to Polish fans in Zakopane :( So sad, he really was the one that helped gaining interest in winter sports in Poland, it were great 11 years with him at the top :( Now we have Kamil, but stil there is noone at least close to him.

@adnar: Congrats for Justyna and Kamil xcheer . I will miss Adam too, I can´t believe, that his career has finished now. Good luck for his future.

@vatroslav_cro: Yes, our both nations can celebrate now. It was the 3rd time ever, that a German woman won the overall standings of Apine skiing after Rosi Mittermeier and Katja Seizinger. It was so close at the end, only 3 points in front against Lynsey Vonn. But I think, she devered the victory. Ivica and Maria are really great xcheer.

too bad Ivica had that bad first run. but I think giant slalom is one of his weaker disciplines, so 5th place (with the fastest 2nd run) is massive succes after all.

Yes, but remember the last season. He was in the best form in December/January, so I am sure, how the season will go further, he will do better and better:mrgreen::cool:!

Hm...ok. As I see NOBODY reads and comments this one, I will try to "wake it up".
So this weekend the male races are happening in Kitzbühel, Austria. The super G (which should have been today), is cancelled due to the strong snowstorm and impossible weather conditions. So tomorrow (if the weather will permit it again), there should be a downhill discipline. In Sunday two slalom rides will be held, and the points which will be reached there, will consist the classical combination results.

Current standings (first ten):
