I don't know about where in Canada you are, but here in Halifax they shut down a couple of streets because everyone was running through the streets in true Canadian fashion after Crosby's goal!

He is from Cole Harbour, about 20 minutes away from where I am, Halifax, NS... It was quite a spectacular event!

I hope you all enjoyed the Vancouver Olympics :D

In Toronto they did the same!  I don't know how it was in downtown Ottawa (where I am), but surely it was wild around the campus.
After Bilodeau, Crosby is another Canadian hero! :D  Well deserved though! :)

I know that this isnt strictly the thread for this but it's close as good, Pyeongchang, South Korea, will host the Winter Olympics 2018 after beating of Annecy in France and Munich in Germany. It's third time lucky for the South Koreans who've bid and lost previously for the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.

Im sad, I wanted it to be Annecy, or if not, Munich, but Im sure the South Koreans will make everything brilliant and efficient anyway ;).

I am a bit sad, that it is not Munich. It would be great, seeing Olympic Games live in my own country... maybe 2022.

Congratulations to Pyeonchang

^ Out of the official bids for 2020 I prefer Rome :D. But it's expected that France will bid now that they've lost this, I'll probs support the French cuz they deserve to have at least some Olympic Games!

But France will host the Euro 2016, so his change the picture to held another big event is f-cked now, bersides Spain wasn't held an Big Even since Barcelona 92, and they are verry close than ever as you imagine ;)

Don't foget that Italy was held the Winter Olympic Games few years ago, so its unlikely to COI to chosse hims

Congrats Pyeongchang, finally it was your turn to get it! :D

2020 I suppose would go to Rome or Madrid, but the 2022...that must be held in Östersund! :D Isn't Sweden's turn, 110 years after the first (summer) olympics? I think it is! :)

Why does it always go to Corea? In every sport, it goes always to corea... I don't get this... :(

I dont get it either, especially when the South Korean bid obviously isnt up to scratch because it's been rejected twice before =/.

South Korea is new frontier, and they (they being the world true capitalist leaders) wants to annoy North Korea and by then China as much as they can!

But i'm still happy for Koreans, i really hope their country will be united again one day sooner than later;)

As for 2020 Paris won't bid the mayor is going to be against it, i'll hope for Durban or Istanbul but Madrid vs Rome final is more likely!

Istanbul is bid for '' summer '' olympics. It's the city I live in but I'm totally against its bid as it's not a suitable place for summer olympics.

Turkey has more beautiful cities, like Izmir, Antalya and Mugla, that could lead a full summer spirit with its everything considering Istanbul that is out of breath and a industry province.

A totally wrong decision at all. If it doesn't change, I'm cheering for Tokyo ! :jp: xcheers
