VIP Member is just a User Rank based on your post counts. Once you reach the 1000 post mark you will be automatically however it doesn't give you any special treatment, it's just a user title :)

on this topic: I've noticed that some people have been able to change their user titles, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Where can I change mine?

We updated our forum to the most recent version so if you see anything missing (I'm currently working on bringing back the Smiliebox) please post in here.

When inserting a picture, it automatically adds a thumbnail. Like this:

If you don't want the thumbnail all you have to do is to uncheck "Retrieve remote file and reference locally"

The forum is messed up, my notifications doesn't light up blue when I have a PM and all of the links along the top bar are overlapping and out of place

Yeah, I posted that on the twitter account that there was a small programming issue. The issue should be fixed soon. Stay tuned :D
