No offence but that'd be such a relief for me and my potential semi qualifiers.

I wonder what song would open in that case, though 🤔

I doubt the BBC would put anything competitive either side of the song. So probably something that barely scraped through, has minimal fan attention & draws 1st half. It would be hard to see something upbeat going first to open with a bang if the UK does draw 2.

Oh bloody hell I’m not sure if I like being last
It's hard to read, because quite a few entries that have been put last haven't done that well (including the UK in 2014). Italy came 3rd in the televote in 2018 performing last. France 2017 and Armenia 2016 also did pretty well in last, Estonia last year did pretty well in the televote in that position.

I'd much rather 26th than in the first 10 entries.

Ah, they both drew their positions today. Good.

Well, the UK could not have drawn a better position in regards to giving the home crowd something to look forward to.
The crowd is gonna go wild in Liverpool when it closes the show :)

I recon the UK is going to end up potentially doing a lot better than expected now, its a real earwormer and everyone is going to be so hyped up for it too.

Certainly, and it should keep people interested and - one would hope - would make them want to watch the whole show from start to finish (well, the songs at least, anyway).
I could see even better viewing figures as a result of it.

I also think that 26th is better than in somewhere in the middle. Or worse - somewhere in the beginning.
It's definitely more of an advantage than disadvantage :)

Imagine if Sweden and Finland draw 1st half and the BBC put them on 1st and 2nd :ROFLMAO:

It’s nice to have 25 support acts before the main event x

The crazy thing is that could actually happen.

But seriously though, more likely they will be in the middle tbf

I'm pretty sure that would just make the whole fandom explode like a supermassive volcano with a giant champagne cork blocking it.
