Sometimes I know my fire burns low
But as long as you're with me I'll never get cold
'Til day and night, 'til darkness and light
I never worry when you're by my side

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here
There's still a chance for us
Down herе in the ashes, yeah, thеre's something growing
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light)

Light up the room
Light up the room

You and me forever, we're free
We're cool under pressure, and that's all we need
So take my hand, and forget the past
We're in this together, there's no looking back

Oh, feelings change and seasons fade
But nothing will burn us out
Nothing can stop us now

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
There's a fire burning for you (Yeah, there's a fire burning for you)
I feel the heat here
There's still a chance for us
Down here in the ashes, yeah, there's something growing
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light)

Light up the room

Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)
Out of the embers
You and I are gonna light up the room (Yeah, you and I gonna light up the room)

Personally I just hope that by this new song being 'up beat' they mean that it is a little more dancier. And not just the same kind of deal as last year but with more optimistic lyrics.

I swear if this turns out to be 'Bigger Than Us III' I am going to go mad.

James Newman deserves it of course. He may not be the most thrilling of names but One Last Breath was decent step in the right direction for us, and of course James missed his chance to perform at Eurovision. It's only fair that he has been asked back.

Also, it's not Frock Destroyers.

Since he mentioned uptempo, I can only imagine something closer to his brother's material. It kind of fits his persona he created with "My Last Breath".

Yeah that is the one that has been muttered about over the past few days. Which to be honest doesn't fill me with much confidence that it will be a banger and makes me worry it will just be a slow ballad kind of deal again, only with more cheery lyrics.

I mean hell, its only a short way to go to get "Your Love is Bigger Than Us, its bigger that you and me!".

He did say in the interview with BBC Newsbeat that the song will be positive and upbeat.

I would be very surprised if it was anything spectacular.

Well like its been pointed he said he didn't want to do a ballad, so by upbeat I'm expecting uptempo.

Also it's great that the BBC are letting him write his own song than giving him one to sing.

There's literally a Sigala song called "Give Me Your Love" a few posts up so don't lose hope yet

I think I may have found the song , it is from the same writters from last year.

Its called "Your Love".
I refer back to my last post with an example of the kind of track I'd dig originally performed by his brother - (Give Me) Your Love, I see good signs...

Let's find more similar songs in the style that we'd dig for hype reasons ;)

The ban on non-essential international travel to and from England will stay until at least May 17, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, prolonging the pain for airlines, airports and holiday companies hit by the pandemic travel slump

I understand that exceptions can be made (sports team travel throughout Europe) but it certainly makes the whole situation a bit more tricky for James Newman to attend the event in person. He'd have to agree to a two-week quarantine as well as his entire team that would travel with him.

But it means that even if an audience will be allowed in, we will most likely not see many UK flags in the crowd :(

Tumblr, mostly.
Perhaps the absense of the awful, balding british fans will also lead to the Russian act not being booed for being, you know, being born in Russia?

Also, Brits returning from red list countries (idk if NL is one) have to self isolate in specific strictly controlled hotels for 2 weeks at the cost of £1500 out of their own pockets, if they don't they could actually go to jail. So I expect there will be little in the way of British fans there, if there is even an audience allowed.

edit: NL isn't one it seems, but James will probably have struggles enough to travel there. The UK delegation will be tiny.

The good ones always stay home and support San Marino anyway, going on forums to criticise the BBC year in, year out, whilst passionately campaigning for national treasure, Jane McDonald. Don't be fooled by those waving the Union Jack at Eurovision. They're not a true representation of the charming follicly-challenged British Eurovision fan. In fact, I think they're not even gays, but football hooligans there to keep our reputation as holidaymakers at an abysmally low level.

LMAOOO how accurate tho. When I was in Ukraine a group of super loud drunk men in union jack suits closed in on me because I was the only one in the whole area with a UK flag and was asking which football team I supported.

me the entire time:

Gosh, that picture is a perfect depiction of fear. I would have just told them that I have no interest in watching overpaid men kick a ball back and forth for 90 minutes whilst constantly feigning crippling injuries.

I remember seeing them and trying to hide until they saw me.

I was like .... 🙃 ... I support my home town >.> then they left me alone.

Yes, that pic is perfection.
