There was a gif EXACTLY like that when Mans performed on the Finnish version of The Voice.

Its a sign! London 2017

I feel that with a good staging and a revamp this could achieve UK around 20th place... So it could be worse...

I'm wishing I hadn't wanted a national final so badly now. At least with internal selections we can't see what we could have had. xcry

I know it's your favourite song and congrats on it winning, but I have a hard time believing this will get a better result than Molly.
Molly got 17th with an incredibly shaky vocal (totally off key in places) and weird staging that had nothing to do with the song. I'd be surprised if J&J do worse than Molly, especially as they will appeal to televoters.

Sadly, I didn't have opportunity to watch the show. I've just come home and seen who won. It wasn't my favorite (I'd be surprised if the Great British public picked my favorite for once) but it is definitely better than the last year's rubbish entry.

I wish UK had chosen somebody Hindu or Banglo for Stockholm, the song with Hindu flavors! xlove

Maybe next year... xpray

Don't forget her "deer in the headlights" look as well

Jake and Joe got a lot more energy and seem more engaging then her as well. The song even in this form is catchy so I imagine a revamp will only make it better.

In what way will they appeal to televoters? The lead singer in particular comes across like a bit of a chav. The other guy seems nice enough, but I can't really anything in the song that will get Europe to notice it. I'm sure they will heavily remix it and do a lot of work on staging and stuff, so maybe it'll be a better package in May. But I can only judge on the right now, and compared to the other songs that have either been selected or are still in the running, I can't imagine many finishing below them.

I will give you that they have better vocals than Molly, which is why I actually think they will score higher with the juries.

I LOVE henna and all that stuff, I used to do henna myself lol, but what it had to do with a song called "Children Of The Universe" I don't know

I totally agree - were J&J perfect tonight? No. But were very good? Yes! They're 20 and 21 year old lads and they were thrown out there in front of crazy Eurovision fans and I thought they held their own brilliantly. Their vocals were good (not 100% - but since when has Eurovision ever been about perfect vocals?!), they've got a catchy tune, they look cute and most importantly they've got charisma and chemistry on stage.

And most importantly, given that staging is what has let down consecutive UK acts, I felt that this was a song where staging was achievable. They could even just do the exact same staging as tonight and get away with it - there was nothing bad about it, they looked like they wanted Eurovision and they sang their song like they were proud of it (something the likes of Karl didn't do, for example).

It's a good song, catchy hookline, nice guys, uncommon combination - when did we have a male duo for the last time on stage?
Over all, I think it's a really good choice for the UK.

Wow, yes. How totally exciting. 20th place. Seriously. I cannot possibly wait for May.

In any tv voting competition, I rarely see two twenty-something year old guys with a guitar and puppy dog eyes who don't get voted for  You only have to watch X Factor to know this lol.

But on a more serious level, even if we look beyond the vanity you cannot say that they gave anything other than a good performance with a strong song, good stage presence and good vocals tonight? I understand this song wasn't for you but you can't say that they didn't have a good performance tonight.

Bianca had probably the best performance of the night, but the verses were just a musical disaster - it went from power ballad in the chorus to wrist-slitting depression in the verse. And even if the song was massively revamped, it couldn't be changed completely (which is what it needed). J&J vocals may not have been Bianca-style but they were still good, and their song is something that is good and can be even better. Therefore they won it for me.

I'm sorry that you disagree but I hope that they can prove you wrong in May ;)
