to quote Winston Churchill:
We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender,

We can quote Tennyson too:

One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

This was posted on Oikotimes, so it's most likely to be fake, but they claim that 4 countries will withdraw tomorrow (incl. one Big 5 country)

If this is true (probably not), I doubt it'd be the UK

4 countries will withdraw tomorrow? why would they tell people they're doing it tomorrow? Surely they would announce it today?... Anyway I doubt it is the UK we got the second best ratings for a decade. The BBC will not give that up. http://oikotimes.com/2014/05/11/teaser-four-countries-furiously-withdraw/

edit: I am actually intrigued now.

Also no one makes announcements on a Sunday although I don't believe any of it

BTW, what do you Brits think about giving 0 point to Poland. Poland won televoting and was last in the jury's voting. I know, it was a lot of Poles voting but let's be serious - if Poland won, it couldn't be just Polish people voting.

Ikr, obviously it's not very reliable, but apparently those 4 countries have a problem with the jury/televotes this year. Could Poland, Azerbaijan, Portugal and Greece withdraw?

I voted for Poland. I wasn't happy, it felt like my money was wasted.

Well I expected us to give you points purely on diaspora. I really liked it but my mum (and I'm sure others would agree with her) found it cheap and vulgar with the way the woman were dressed and moving about very provocatively. She said its a cheap trick to try to get more votes. xshrug I'm surprised you did that well tbh, since your qualification I had 2008 on my mind and I was hoping you wouldn't flop. But yes with the way our juries worked I do think it was a complete waste.

I feel bad for all people who voted for Poland, they had to pay for SMS and were robbed... It's unfair.

LOL if Azerbaijan withdraw because of their place after so many top 5's it shows what such sore losers they are.

Kind of funny a UK X-Factor loser went to another country and did better then the UK itself....you should have taken Ruth when you had the chance

Maybe after Ruth's top 10 success it will encourage the likes of Diana Vickers or Alexandra to accept and take part ;)

I just had a thought what it the EBU have got to those countries and said, you can either withdraw next year or we can publicly ban you for three and they are just making excuses.
