Every single year people say Alesha but it never happens so by my reckoning she doesnt want to do it cuz the BBC are most likely to have already asked her!

I only picked Alesha as one example of many possible selections, none of whom would be at all likely to participate if Blue didn't appear first. If Blue do well (but don't win) and have a successful comeback off the back of ESC, then I think these other artists will be increasingly feasible.

Knowing our luck we'd end up with an Another Level reunion for next year and who needs that?

Interesting that Absolute radio interviewed them. They're more of a rock station. Wouldn't normally expect them to take any notice of ESC.

I think it's a huge positive that many of my friends and colleagues know who the UK's entry is this year - not just the Euronerds

lol, cool logic, so if you're British, you HAVE to like the british song, and if you don't like it, you still have to support it?,,,,, because your British, and if you don't do that, you're not British? nice. ;)

Let me remind you that this isn't a war, it's a song contest. and with all the different taste in music there is here, there just might be a situation where you actually don't LIKE the contribution sent by your country.

I didn't say that, but there's a fine line between disliking the entry and wanting Britain to fail

Been a while since I last wrote here. The song is average but it easily beats the horrible and shameful songs the UK has sent in the past. I personally hope we don't win but hope for a good placing. With the BBC trying to do things differently, with Blue representing the UK and a chance for a very good placing, maybe people here will start to see Eurovision in a different and more positive light for a change.

I wanted Britain to come last last year.

That's not unpatriotic. The song sucked and if it somehow got a respectable mid-table position there would have been no incentive to try harder this year.

I support this,

I have NO reason what so ever, to support my countrys song, just because it happen to come from my country, if I don't like it. On the contrary, hoping for it's failure might improve our chanses for a better line of choosing next year.

The BBC will air a special documentary in the week of April 16-22 charting Blue in their preparations for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, it has today been announced. ‘Eurovision- Your Country Needs Blue’ will air for one hour documenting the group’s promotional tour around Europe with some back-stage footage, and ending with a performing of their song “I Can”.

There will be expert opinion from two-time entrant Sir Cliff Richard, Robin Gibb, Robbie Williams, Arlene Phillips, JLS, and John Barrowman, with all contributing to the plan for Düsseldorf.

Eurovision commentator Graham Norton will voice the show, which has yet to have a specific date and time assigned.

Can anyone in the UK say whether this is getting any radio airplay. I certainly haven't heard it although clearly there was a bit of news coverage - then it all went quiet.
