I'm loving our song and I'm proud that it's representing us :D
Really don't care if anyone else likes it or if it does well - at least it is honest and unpretentious. It doesn't try to be something it's not, it's just a good, fluffy pop song.
Go for it Josh :)

Hear hear!

While I don’t think that it is the pinnacle of amazing song writing, it certainly isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be! I’m getting rather tiresome of comments comparing it to Jade’s song in 2009, which may I add a few people slated before the final... What do people expect, another power ballad with ‘my time’ repeated 90 billion times?

Indeed, for a pop song it could be better, but maybe I need a lobotomy because I don’t think it’s the worst song this year! I’m fearful that it might suffer the same fate that Andy Abraham did and come last.

I like Josh, and I think he’s a top guy. I have a strange urge to mother him, regardless of the fact that I’m not that much older than him... :?

I like Josh too and I think his vocal ability has been sooooooo underestimated. He is a great singer and he comes across as a confident performer :)
There is just no point negatively comparing our song last year to this year, that's been and gone.
I think a lot of people who LIKE the song this year are being put off posting support for Josh this year because we are all being shot down in flames by a few people who are posting the same derogatory comments over and over and over again all over the place. I actually PREFER this song to 'My Time' which really wasn't my cuppa at all  For me, this year's entry is my favourite since 2002.
I will be there on final night proudly waving my flag and dancing around the house like a lunatic

If we come last, we come last. There are so many countries and only ONE can win anyway so what the hell, let's just enjoy our fun song and be done with it

I was beginning to think that I was the only one! I much prefer this song to ‘My Time,’ as it doesn’t sound as though it belongs in a Miss World beauty pageant. I half expected Jade to (who is lovely btw) to declare her desire for ‘world peace.’

Have fun in Oslo! I’d love to go and watch it live, I think I might do next year. Hopefully somewhere lovely and warm will win. Not that Oslo isn't lovely. :p

there is a lot of politics and snobbery in eurovision.. i'm certain people watching at home will pick up the phone and vote for this song.. but i have a concern with the juries and it is because of peer pressure.. i really hope people stand up for this song and do not allow themselves to be dissuaded from voting for it..

Jade was awesome but the song let her down badly. I think with a different (better) song she could easily have won the whole thing. Fifth place isn't really so great when you consider who wrote the song...
thms, I wouldn't worry too much about the juries. I think they are equally as likely to be impressed by the fame factor of our songwriters as they are to be put off by the opinion of fans. Our own jury awarded Germany 12 last year and in the semis, it was the jury who selected Waldo's People as a finalist :D

I loved last years entry and I agree, I dont think people should compare it as they are completely different genres for a start!

I do like Josh - hes very charming and good looking with a great voice which is hugely underestimated. However what I will say, the performance he gave on 'making your mind up' although was good, it would be best if they made and sent out a video of the updated version (which hasnt been finalised yet) so that people would START to like it. Its getting bad press because its taking the BBC far too long to get their acts together. The reason why Jade did so well last year is because she had a great voice and a fab look but she also publicised the song to the max going to many countries before the final. Josh hasnt started going to any countries yet and I think theyre leaving it far too late.

People often like songs once theyve listened to it a few times and seeing as the song is being changed slightly for the final, people are getting the wrong impression!

I know we'll probably come last (which is a shame) but hey...as long as he does his best who cares?

I like it when people support their entry without having to bash other songs to make their song look better. While U.K. is in my bottom 5 as well this year, it is what it is.
With a new revamped version who knows what's going to happen. What's the purpose of crying over spilled milk?
And who cares if U.K. ends up in last place (and the chances are decent for that). Kudos for being a good sport and supporting your entry.

Well, someone has to come last and if it happens to be the UK this year, well, that's life :)
I genuinely do love the song though so I'm pleased anyway. Whether it comes top or bottom makes not a bit of difference to me :D
Amongst my other favourites this year are Russia and Estonia which don't seem to rank very highly on other people's lists but I love them. Maybe I need a hearing test ;)

By the way there is now a short interview with Josh on the BBC website with a bit of rehearsal footage. Only available for viewers in the UK at the moment but I'm sure it'll appear on youtube shortly :D

Hmm interesting interview. Josh says the song is 'quite different' from the original, and that it' suits the wind-machine set up really well. I can't honestly see how wind machines would suit the current song, so maybe the song has gone through some drastic changes (although I can't see that happening). We'll have to wait and see I suppose!

As Josh is performing in the Netherlands next week, maybe a video of the new tune will be leaked to youtube (hint hint). ;)

I don't think that song will be that drastically improved, but we must wait and see.

I don't think there is going to be a video. What's the point? The music channels here would never play it.
Can't wait to hear the new version though :D

i am looking forward to hearing the final version of the song.. and i will definitely by the record.. but i hope it does not change to much.. because after repeated viewing of the performance on you tube.. i have to declare it is one of my all time favourite eurovision tunes..
