Re: UKRAINE 2019

The Vice Prime who banned MARUV has just gave a long interview at UA:pershiy channel.

UA:pBC, supposedly independent public broadcaster, has just become a government's whore xfacepalm

What's the general opinion on this in Ukraine?

Geborgenheit: Many fans got sympathy for :ua: after the Russian shitstorm back in 2017, it´s this sympathy that they probably threw away now, or more exactly the broadcaster

Well, and the war in Donbass and the occupation of Crimea ? De facto, Ukraine and Russia are at war. I think many in Western Europe forget about that.

Shouldn't they give the money back to people who's voted for both Maruv and Freedom Jazz (they've won one after another yet no one is going. They paid so their faves would go to ESC)

The public had an opportunity to vote.
The public has spoken xshrug

Politicians try to manipulate brainwashed patriots with crap instead of brains and portary it like the general opinion.

Re: UKRAINE 2019

I honestly do think that any potential :ua: representative, with whom UA:pBC might be in talk/negotiations with, should refuse to represent Ukraine. Maruv won fairly.

The only way to get out of this sh*t is to withdraw. Who will represent Ukraine then? Kazka? They didn't even win both the televote and the juries voting. This is nonsense.

Anyway, whoever is being picked out by the Ukrainian broadcaster (even Tayanna, watch out) will land in the 42nd position of my top. I don't pay any attention to a country, which forces the winner of its own NF to make such harsh decisions (i.e cancel its tour across :ru:). If Kazka ended up winning, I don't think that the whole delegation and the broadcaster itself would've been so rude towards them, thus forcing them to say whether Crimea belonged to :ua: or :ru:.

That's it :ua:, bye.

Jamala didn't win tele or jury vote as well and she's sitting there for the 3rd year in a row ;)

She won the televote back in 2016 during her NF. Furthermore, I was mainly talking about Vidbir, not about ESC. ;)

Seems they have rejected too.

Doesn't it remind you of the NF, which :ua: held back in 2011? Zlata and Jamala refused to take part at an other NF with Mika Newton.

They faked their YT views.

Their manager called Vidbir blogger who didn't like KAZKA and called him a "dirty **g". He apologized later but he has already said more than enough.

They are rotten enough. They match this government

To be honest, I do sincerely hope that (maybe in vain?) Maruv will be allowed to represent :ua:, but... :?

The question about Crimea seems over the top for you because you do not live in a country which is at war with its neighbor like Ukraine. Imagine your country wold be at war and a part of it annexed by another country. Would you still don't care ?

???? Don't get your point of your reply here, but still. Politics has nothing to do with a song contest and first and foremost with a national final.

Re: UKRAINE 2019

So if everyone keeps saying "No". May anyone recall me who had last place in SF1 and SF2? We can change the thread name already :D

Re: UKRAINE 2019

If everyone keeps refusing to represent :ua:, how are they going to lift them out of this dreadful situation? I mean, internally selecting someone else?
