Thanks to the Ukrainian broadcaster for exposing themselves. It's quite refreshing to see corruption on full display.

What I picked up from the official EBU statement is that they're still negotiating. I wouldn't be surprised if it's EBU who got them reconsidering it, now with Verka.

Gosh after this Ukraine should never return. All this mess... I'm still recovering psychologically from this. This government is the worst ever. No one has managed to destroy our reputation so quickly.

he looks like one of those hipsters that would awkwardly flirt with you while high as a kite in a coachella-style music festival by saying he plays in an indie band that might not even exist and my vote is yes

Isn't he popular and performs in Russia, though?

Anyway, I found this, from Forbes interview from last year:

I auditioned to represent Ukraine in 2012, but it wasn’t a successful try. To be honest, in the past it seemed to be more interesting. Today, in the era of Internet, when there are so many different genres and performers, Eurovision is just a one-day TV contest. So, at the moment I’m thinking only about producing my next singles for the fans and new audiences.

Verka said "I'm kidding" twice, of course she was joking. + she's been already invited to perform there (with other #2s and winners).

Olya Polyakova posted this on her insta:
"Once you'll ask me who will go to Eurovision. And I'll reply "nobody". And you'll fall asleep calmly not knowing that it will be me!)))"

Gurl, did somebody give you the tickets? Don't joke like that :| She said she would agree only if it's internal selection tho.

He has already performed there in February so it shouldn't be a problem. But he's clearly not interested in ESC at all. He gave his place to Tayanna (they share the same producer).

YES. Polyakova heard my plea. lol

Honestly though, she's someone who could actually navigate this situation to her advantage.

Too bad her song Koroleva Nochi is too old. It's such a good track.

Olya Polyakova. xbow it's a shame this samples Gangnam Style and is a few years old as this would be an iconic choice, especially with its name:

This whole thing about the broadcaster would internally select someone until 10th March is just bs and a myth right or is there any truth to this?

Whoa relax man. You don't have to insult others. Everyone here has his/her own opinion ;)

really? one entire day without any messy news, ukraine? not even a "maruv is actually yulia samoylova in an android suit"-level conspiracy? i guess they really mean their withdrawal :(

(i will only 100% believe it if we get to march 10th without an entry. the withdrawal fee is just too much for them to not find like anyone with a pulse and a track lol.)
