Re: UKRAINE 2016

Damn, son! That's a great list of names. Songs unheard, I'm rooting for Jamala and Hardkiss. Brunettes Shoot Blondes could be a fun choice too. Very excited for the songs.

Sad for Solomko though. :(

The Hardkiss, Jamala, Pur:pur...

*dies*

Can't believe they didn't choose Solomko. But of course they couldn't allow too many singing gurls who can pawn Matviyenko

Her "Titanic" sank
I guessed when she complained in VK.

No Bila Vezha too. Not a single performer from the recent X Factor.

Their song from 2014:

Very diverse NF. From ^that to indie, reggae-pop, folk and rock/metal.

Re: UKRAINE 2016

The songs that have been published already:

Victoria Petryk - Overload
She placed 2nd on JESC 2008. Her sister won JESC 2012. Victoria took part in 2014 NF.
The song is written by Persson sisters, produced by William Taylor.

Svetlana Tarabarova - Nikoly znovy
She took part in Star Factory 2 in 2009. Then she joined Real O band and later went solo.
The song is called "Never again" & dedicated to soldiers.

ALLOISE - Crown
ex-Gorchitza band vocalist.

Peaks of Kings - Metal Mania
http://vk.com/vivsyanka?w=wall-91741134_2170
Rock/metal newcomers.

Pur:pur - We Do Change
https://soundcloud.com/pur-pur-1/we-do-change-single
My most fave indie band. She sounds like Kylie a lil' bit in this one. The original is 4 minutes long though.

Pringlez - ....
No idea about the song title. Just a snippet/sample: https://www.instagram.com/p/BAzpLBRAdvX/?taken-by=korsoonstar
Can't call them 100% newcomers but it will be a new name to most people. They competed in the New Wave fest last year.

-----everything else is just examples, they haven't published their songs------

former X Factor participants:

Aida Nikolaichuk - the winner, 2012
she took part in the 2014 NF with this song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6v196IIri0 & stayed in the prelims.

Vladislav Kurasov - the 3rd place, 2011
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee7VwGzIPUc
The song title is "I'm insane".

Arkadiy Voytyuk - the 4th place, 2011
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iOuCIq9CqE

former ESC NF participants:

NuAngels - 2007, 2014 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVQqazz9yRI
They wanted to submit their song with Dana International in 2009 but refused from that idea.
Their song is called "Higher" & it was written by Alexander Bard again.

Anastasiya Pryhodko - I think there's no reason to introduce her))
The song is called "I am Free Now" & it's written by Armenian authors with Armenian ethno feel.
The song will be released tomorrow.

Jamala - 2011... many people remember her "Smile".
The song is called "1944" & it's dedicated to victims of the henocide of Crimean Tatars.
Imo it will sound like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiS388M34Qw

Other talent shows:

Tonya Matviyenko from The Voice 2011. Ruslana was her co-producer & coach. She's a daughter of Nina Matviyenko, Ukrainian legendary singer with a career spanning for many decades))
The song contains at least 1 ethno/folk instrument & produced by the same person who was in charge of this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWBttHJdqWs

Lavika from Star Factory 2009. I've already posted example above.

Others:

Brunnetes Shoot Blondes - the most famous indie band here, imo.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RC_0NzJ2mWA

Japanda - basically ex-KAMON band.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4kcc0pBR6Q

SunSay - pop-funk-reggae. He's more famous as 5'nizza band vocalist. It's quite popular in ex-USSR. The most surprising name in the NF imo.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hqy3o0hR_WM

and THE most famous name of the NF (not counting Jamala & NuAngels): The Hardkiss
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quZSuSg-ZuE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hglCJmtsMM
xjump

I know only about 5 full songs. Can't wait for the rest 13))
Jamala, Tarabarova & maybe Pryhodko lost 1 jury vote. imo Danylko won't vote for them.

Re: UKRAINE 2016

To be honest, I would rather choose Solomko/Starodumova instead of Tarabarova (although I like her very much), but Solomko sent just a demo, that's sad.
Purpur is nice but too boring.
