Re: UKRAINE 2012

New rumors that Max and his team is "buying" his victory

Gotta love all the drama *bring popcorn*

I doubt they'd be any other way or him to win. They didn't give two hoots about him in 2010 nor did the original jury this year. (Yet they are probably open for bids to see who wins lol)

I feel a 2011 deja-vu all over again, pity, there are better options than Renata.

This is Eurovision - an event made for pure entertainment purposes. Why is corruption even involved in the first place?

Exactly.
Also wondering why is it neccessary to insinuate things every year :)

hmm... reminds me of how Zlata pulled out in the last minute last year according to some "leg accident".
Actually she really broke her leg and had to skip few more fests/events.

Re: UKRAINE 2012

Zlata will perform her brand new song :D
Among other interval acts there are Sinplus, Anggun and Alyosha.

According to Andy Gaitana wasn't present at the rehearsals.
His fave entry is Renata. Apparently she improved her vocals.

The jury:

Eugeniy Rybchinskiy - songwriter, UA legend of few decades.
Semyon Gorov - famous video director ("Dancing, Lasha Tumbai" video )
Olena Mozgova  - the woman thanks to whom we debuted @ESC :p, the head of NTU music department (2003-2007), producer, daughter of another music legend Mykola Mozgovyi.
Masha Manyuk - the head of fashion agency, the owner of 1 newspaper, TV host.
Ru Music representative - TV channel boss.
Walid Arfush - NTU 1st vice president.
Egor Benkendorf - NTU president.

imo, this is THE best jury ever

Re: UKRAINE 2012

My scenario for tomorrow: Total surprise with Zlata being chosen as the singer for ESC, the contenders will be the interval act. *I can only hope to see her in ESC* :D

Anyway, good luck to Max and Gaitana :)

Re: UKRAINE 2012

^ Most def Zlata will try in 2013 ;) Maybe even via internal selection.

1 day before the NF my faves are: Gaitana, Renata and Max.

Re: UKRAINE 2012

Official statement from Renata Shtiffel authors:

Vadim Lisitsa (Alyosha's producer/ex-bf, composer): I've been asked by few European journalists as for Alyosha's presence in the jury. Such theme is being discussed @Euroforum and people even blamed us that Renata's management "bought" us. I'd like to say that this stuff is absolutely made up and untrue!

Alyosha (ESC 2010, lyricist): We refused from such idea because everything should be clear & honest. I don't even want such idea of biased voting to appear. And I'm gonna do my fave thing in the final - to perform for the viewers.

Yesterday's statement from Max Barskih: I'd like to say if we face falsifications on the contest this will be the last year when I apply for ESC.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... last time was the "last time" as well

Comments from the NF host Tat'yana Terehova: Amazing girl Renata! I really liked The Incredibles and "Masha Sazonova & Tikhon Levchenko", and deserving Max. I'm torn!

Re: UKRAINE 2012

Renata's song grew on me. It's quite pleasant. I was just listening to all the songs on the channel's webpage and it somehow reminded me of Is It True. Plus Renata is a beautiful girl and has a great voice. I think it could do quite decently if chosen. My main issue with it is that it'd make a for a third straight slow-er song from Ukraine and second pop ballad in a row. Both Alyosha and Mika ended up doing very well, but I'm afraid people would get tired of another ballad from Ukraine. The funny thing is that before 2010, I really wanted Ukraine to send a pretty girl with a ballad. And now that's precisely what I don't want, haha. But if she is selected, it would be far from the worst possible choice.

Because of all that, I'm still rooting for Max and Gaitana. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, but each one could bring an exciting show to Baku. Max has a terrible draw so I'm really concerned for him. Gaitana - who knows what's happening with her voice situation.

Dark horses for me are Romanyuta (assuming there would be no problem with the alleged plagarism), Marta and Marietta.

If anybody other than the above six wins the NF, Ukraine is screwed.

Re: UKRAINE 2012

If Gaitana is not in,please Ukraine you should better go to Baku with Max.
Not Renata, another ballad,3rd year in a row!And its not an amazing ballad.Max's song is good for this kind of music.
