So many great entries over the years, some that stick out in my mind include Running Away, Mega Man, Laalavat Jouset, Blimp Off, Milk Crisis, Pornography, Hectic, Supernova....

Recently, a 70th anniversary promo video was released containing clips of all Ugly entries since NSC 4. All entries so far were included, apart from the mystery anniversary entry itself, the entry of NSC 73.

That's not strictly true however. Though it indeed had no clip, it kind of featured throughout the whole video.

70th anniversary, prequalified again and shockingly once again on home ground, we are thrilled to be able to celebrate Ugaly in this best possible way! Game of Thrones is a recent TV-series by HBO based on the ongoing novel series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Both the show and the books have enjoyed massive popularity in Ugaly all throughout the summer months, and we would like to acknowledge that popularity by presenting the shows' main theme song, composed by Ramin Djawadi from Germany. In the same way it epically represents the beginning of an epic story, it shall stand for Ugaly to mark that our epic first 70 editions were only the beginning!

Is this your idea of a celebration? Some short, slow tragedy that doesn't even have singing? Why don't you send me to celebrate for you instead, eh? You know my melodic armpit farting is to die for! Quite literally.

I dunno about that TV-series, they don't show it on Telepotato, but unless it sells cheap kitchenware, I'm not interested!

Being an NBU broadcaster is tough work. Sometimes you have a good plan, sometimes you just take what you can get. However, on some rare occasions you just happen to make a discovery that you immediately know is... just perfect. British electropop band The Modern, formerly known under the names Dirty Blonde and Matinee Club, made just one audition that immediately melted the hearts of Lurkovision's jury, and are already on their way to represent Ugaly in Mobius with their 2006 single Industry. Our hearts are pounding and hopes are high, but will they be able to recreate the same reaction with the rest of Natia?

I'm off for a weekend trip and a bit too short on time to deliver a Lurkin' Bird and an entry announcement like I should before the semis start, but I simply can't go without acknowledging our little milestone.

It's Ugaly's 80th edition, both consecutive and in total, hooray!!!
