UEFA Champions League qualifications

:lv:
Spartaks Jurmala - :rs: Crvena Zvezda

I think Zvezda is a favorite here even though Spartaks can be tricky if they are underestimated. But Zvezda will probably not have issues if they repeat the same play from the last season's Europa League.

UEFA Europa League qualifications

:me: Rudar Pljevlja - :rs: Partizan

We are the favorities in this duel but we need to be careful. Rudar is a good team and they are always among the top teams in :me: They lost some good players like Radomir Đalović and Stevan Reljić but they still have some great talents like Marko Burzanović who is the best player of the team. It will be tricky but if we take themseriously, we should advance through without much problems.

:rs: Spartak Subotica - :uk: Coleraine

I think the biggest disadvantage is that Spartak doesn't have any experience in European matches. Looking at the results of the Northern Irish team, Spartak should be a favorite but I think it will be tough.

:rs: Radnički Niš - Winner of Preliminary Round Match 2

Radnički doesn't have a rival yet but it will most likely be :mt: Gżira United.

So your an Excelsior Rotterdam fan. Do people in the Netherlands consider them Feyenoord's feeder club?

Yes, but I think it's becoming less now that we're doing better each year. However, having the Excelsior stadium filled with mostly Feyenoord fans at Excelsior vs Feyenoord games certainly doesn't help. It's been like that ever since I can remember and it did not change at all after that. I'm glad we got rid of this so called 'collaboration' between Excelsior & Feyenoord, which was pretty much Feyenoord sending players on loan to us and Feyenoord getting our good players for free.

I see that there's one game I did not mention(and did not know about anyway). :fi: FC Ilves vs :bg: Slavia Sofia. I don't really know what to think of this match because I don't think I've ever heard of Slavia Sofia. Apparently they've won the Bulgarian Cupfinal after beating Levski. I don't think Ilves are favourite to go through to the next round. I was watching their game against FC Inter Turku last weekend and their goalie was extremely weak. He made an absolutely horrible mistake at the FC Inter goal, which cost Ilves the win. His goalkicks were awful as well. It's funny how Wales has Swansea & Cardiff playing in the English leagues, yet their own league is absolutely awful.

:fo: Vikingur vs :fi: HJK 1-2.

HJK scored 2 goals of which one was an own goal and they actually conceded a goal against a club from the Faroe Islands! Well, a win's a win, but this is pretty awful. Hope the 2nd leg will be better.

:fi: FC Lahti vs :is: FH 0-3.

FH's goals were pretty good, Lahti's defending not so...

:fi: FC Ilves vs :bg: Slavia Sofia 0-1.

I did not watch the match nor did I find a recap of the match, but from what I saw from Ives's goalkeeper last time, I would not be surprised if he made another awful mistake that cost FC Ilves the match.

:fi: KuPS vs :dk: FC Copenhagen 0-1.

I think it's pretty obvious that FCK would've been the better side, and so they were. According to the recap on YT, it was FC Copenhagen who were on the attack all the time, although It did take a very long time before they scored. The KuPS goalie probably could've saved the shot though.

:li: FC Vaduz vs :bg: Levski Sofia 1-0.

Oh my God, Vaduz beat a top Bulgarian team! I...I'm impressed...

UEFA Champions League

:lv: Spartaks Jurmala 0:0 :rs: Crvena Zvezda

Zvezda was dominant on the entire match but Spartaks was defending very well. They also had a couple of chances to score. Zvezda is still a huge favorite but if Spartaks shows this kind of dedication in the second leg too, they will have their chances.

UEFA Europa League

:me: Rudar Pljevlja 0:3 :rs: Partizan

A solid opening for us and a great result on top of that. The first half wasn't that good, we had issues to find our play and we couldn't create many chances. But the second half was much better. Rudar played a good match too even though they were mosty oriented on the defense (as it was expected). We have a good result and we can already look forward to the next round but of course, the job is not finished here. Looking forward to the first match in front of our audience.

:rs: Radnički Niš 4:0 :mt: Gzira United

Amazing start for Radnički. They were very dominant throughout the entire match and they could've scored even more goals. I hope they keep up this rhthym in the next matches as well.

:rs: Spartak Subotica 1:1 Coleraine

As expected, Spartak couldn't win on home ground despite showing more in the first match. It will be very tricky in the second leg and I think Coleraine has higher chances to pass through.

Are you going to attend the Partizan game?:)

UCL 1st qualifying round 1st leg

:mk: Shkëndija 5 - 0 :wale: The New Saints

Incredible performance from Besart Ibraimi scoring 4 including a spectacular free kick and another brilliant long range effort. Worth to look at all 5 goals I think

:fo: Vikingur Gota 1 - 2 :fi: HJK

Good start for HJK and terrific long range goal from Sebastian Dahlström

:fi: HJK vs :fo: Víkingur 3-1.

A solid win for HJK and some decent goals being scored, though there was a pretty awful penalty miss. Their next opponent will be ::bl BATE Borisov.

:dk: FC Copenhagen vs :fi: KuPS 1-1.

Big disappointment for KuPS as they were close to extra time as they were 1-0 up!. Sadly, FCK got a penalty which they scored. The scenes after their penalty were quite funny though:lol:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4eGmdSpfGk at 3:30.

:is: FH vs :fi: FC Lahti 0-0.

Well, what can I say about this one? FC Lahti lost the first leg 3-0 so the damage was already done big time.

:bg: Slavia Sofia vs :fi: FC Ilves 2-1.

Another Finnish team being knocked out in the first qualifying round of the Europa League. Don't know what to say about these 2 FC Ilves games as I did not see anything of the games! As for Slavia, they're actually doing better in the Europa League than Levski Sofia did!

All in all the Europa League is already pretty much finished for the Finnish teams, with HJK being an exception. Another huge disappointment for Finnish football, although a team like FC Copenhagen is a big team of course, even though it's just the first qualifying round of the Europa League. I guess we have to wait another year for Finnish teams being at least a little bit successful in Europe, unless HJK will do well.

:bg: Levski Sofia vs :li: FC Vaduz 3-2.

Wow, FC Vaduz are through to the next round on aggregate. I'm amazed! A great result for Vaduz after a crazy match. Levski received a red card and they missed a penalty to make it 4-2, which would've made them go through to the next round! Their next opponent will be :lt: Zalgiris. If they can beat Levski on aggregate, then they can definitely beat Zalgiris. Hopp Vadoz!
