I feel very sorry for :sk: Slovan Bratislava and :be: Standard Liege :( But our Slavic cousins from Slovenia did it! Congratulations :sl: Maribor, and good luck in group stage xup
Also :pt: FC Porto and :cy: APOEL did it, but I don't feel positive/negative about it.

There are more polish people than slovenians on Maribor's facebook page right now:lol:

Oh nice! The first surprise in play-off round! xyaay

I'm sorry for Celtic! I supported them so often, now I was for Maribor and the qualification shows that their not in a bad condition. Maybe they need back the Rangers in Scottish League for having a team on equal terms.

And bad that with Aalborg a Nordic team fails to qualify. It seems nearly impossible that Copenhagen will beat Leverkusen tomorrow, so there's no team from Denmark in CL this year. And the last chance for Northern Europe, Malmö, have to win against Red Bull. That's not a good starting position, but I still think, they could do it!

Yeah. If Copenhagen will went out tomorrow, there will be first CL group stage without Scandinavian/Nordic team for years.
EDIT - My mistake, that happened last time in season 2011/2012

Yeaaaaah! I saw it also and I went to Legia's FB page and wrote that they need to pay a 7-days trip across Poland for Maribor's players. xrofl2

Well done Maribor! Ibraimi took that shot initially, was blocked and rebounded to Tavares and he took it! I am glad they are through. It would have been unfair if Celtic have made it. I think that Maribor should be thankful to play Celtic instead of Legia. I am happy, it's been a while..like 15 years or so since they were in the CL? And they were on the FIFA 00 game too.

aletem, well, Jahović scored yesterday when Rijeka played with Lokomotiva (and lost the game xcry). Luckily, the game was with the B team because Kek was resting most of his A players.
As for Lovren, he was one of the best newbies in EPL last years, maybe he will continue with his good games. After all, he stated in some interviews that L'poll was his dream club. He was one of Croatia's best players in Brazil and it's pitty that he was 'responsible' for Fred's penalty (eventhough the whole world saw he faked it). As for Balotelli... good luck. It wouldn't be a bad idea to put a 'how to polite' clause.
Jahovic is in a good form, which is good for the upcoming game vs Spain. And so is Ibraimi! Maybe, just maybe 1 goal can be scored against Spain in Valencia.
Lovren was pretty good in Brazil. He, didn't play so well yesterday against Man City, unfortunately. Hopefully, all the pieces will come along soon. Balotelli seems like a bunny, compared to Suarez.

aletem, OMG, he was terrible yesterday! We better not say that he was last years one of best newbies anymore. xlol He can't live on old fame. Luckily, I turned the program on Atletico's game, where Mandžo was playing. Poor guy, Spanish media has no mercy. xcry On the other hand, half L'pool's defence is new and that half didn't pass the prepations with the rest of the team. But, the season is long, there is plenty time until May. xrofl2

I am really happy for Maribor! :D Well done guys! At least one ex-yu team will play in the Champions League :D

Maribor's success is a pure showcase of how a good and healthy vision has to succeed.

Today we'll know, the all 32 teams participating in Champions League's group stage :D Sorry for Romanian persons here, but I really hope that :bg: Ludogorets will beat Steaua and make a debut in competition xcheer
I'll be watching the game between :en: Arsenal and :tr: Beşiktaş. I don't expect a suprise very much, but it will be awesome if vice-champions of Türkiye will make a big upset and qualify for group round, instead of Gunners ;)

my prediction for today

:en: Arsenal (but I think a surprise is possible)
:es: Bilbao (definetely the most exciting match, because Napoli is actually the better side imo. But I think Bilbao will win in a tight match)
:de: Leverkusen (Probably the only fixture that is already clear)
:ro: Steaua (I think the missing away goal kills Ludogorets chances)
:at: Salzburg (They are simply better than Malmö, but maybe they bottle it again)

Once again a humiliation for RB Salzburg and whole Austria football. It's really not their sport, they better focus on skiing
Mind how much money Red Bull has invested in this club and how high the market value of the squad is compared to a low budget team like Malmö ...
Maybe there willl be some transfers of RB Salzburg players to Red Bull Leipzig in the next week :D
Whatever, I'm happy that Malmö saves the honour of Scandinavia by reaching the group stage. Especially I'm happy for the former Werder Bremen striker Markus Rosenberg, who score twice today.

Oh yes, we forgot about they. Congratulations :se: Malmö ;)
Arsenal managed to qualified after home victory 1-0, but still we have a extra-time in Bulgaria! Go Ludogorets! xcheer

i'm glad for Malmo! The city of eurovision xcheer

Tomorrow at 17:45 is the draw. I wish for that Porto and Bayer Leverkusen end up in Maribor's group.
Sport director of Maribor,Zlatko Zahović played for Porto in late 90's and scored 27 goals. And Bayer Leverkusen was in the same group as Maribor 15 years ago:D

We haven't had a Slovene, Swedish and a Bulgarian team in CL in years I believe!
