Good result for Celtic, but they should have won it, and the referee was terrible.

As long as they stay sensible at the back, they should be able to win it at Celtic Park.

So, today..........

:rs: Partizan - :az: Neftchi Baku

An ideal chance to get the result that will get us closer to the Europa League group stage in the first leg already. Still, even though we are favorites, we need to prove that on the field, as Neftchi is a good team. They play quite similar like our previous rival :bg: Ludogorets.

The weakest link in their team is definetly the goalie - Saša Stamenković. Stamenković was a goalie of our eternal rival, Crvena Zvezda as well, so we know him well, and he has a catastrophic balance against Partizan. He lost all derbies from us, and only on 1 match so far he managed to save his goal and stay unbeaten. Not to mention how weak he is on judging the long shots.

He is also a nasty provocateur, but I believe that the whole team is psychologically well prepared and that nobody will fall on his provocations. Instead of that, our reply should be a goal in his net, on every provocation he makes.

I would be happy with any victory, without a conceived goal, since today we are playing at home.

:is: UMF Stjárnan 0 - 3 :it: Inter Milan

The resulst was expectable and I think in Milan the italians will score much more! No surprise, but Gardabaer became the most succestfulst icelandic team in european cups, hope some team will advance for the group stage in the near future!

But I heard that UMF hast the most funniest goal celebrations! Thats :is:!

I was pretty impressed by :pt: Porto's display at :fr: Lille last night. They completely vulgarized the French. Still a bit early to affirm with certainty but I start to believe this season might belong to them.

What's going on with Partizan's match? Baku was 2-0 ahead and it's 3-2 for Partizan now, all own goals! this must be match-fixing at its finest

UEFA Europa League, Play-Off:

:fr: Olympique Lyon - Astra Giurgiu :ro: 1 - 2
What an amazing performance by Astra! They entered a bit scared in the match, but when they saw that the opponent is only big with the name, they got courage and turned tha tables. Now, they have a hard match ahead ofthem in Giurgiu but I hope they can hold on to the result.

:ro: Petrolul Ploiesti - Dinamo Zagreb :hr: 1 - 3
And I guess it's all over for Petrolul! The match was lost because Dinamo transformed all the chances they got, while Petrolul missed a lot of them.

:rs: Partizan 3:2 :az: Neftchi Baku

I am semi-satisfied. I am happy that we won and that we have an advantage before the second leg in Baku, but I am not satisfied with the first 20 minutes and once again a catastrophic start of the match on our stadium for the 3rd time already. And it costed us 2 goals, so we can't await the second leg peacefully.

Still, as much as this bad starting of our matches deserves deeper analysis (on a psychological level), the team deserves high respect because the players have character. Every team we had a huge deficit, we managed to return from the dead each and this time we totally turned the tables to our side in the end. That deserves respect xclap After that second goal, we were much, much better, and in the second half we nailed Neftchi who didn't have a single scoring chance, and the actual result should have been at least 4-2 if not 5-2 for us. Still, it is good that we showed guts and returned to the game once again after a bad start.

We will play on a victory in Baku as well, and this second leg will be much easier, since the psychological pressure will be smaller for us, we have an advantage and even a tie is acceptable, while Neftchi has to win, and Partizan didn't lose a single match this season, so that task will be much harder than they think. Especially considering how their defennse is very weak + the goalie is a tempted bomb. Yesterday, Stamenković was the worst individual on the field altogether. I said that he is the weakest link of Neftchi, and of course, I was right. But, of course, even though a tie is acceptable too, we are going to Azerbaijan to win once again and bring more points for the :rs: football.

Now to shortly reply on some statements from above.........

What's going on with Partizan's match? Baku was 2-0 ahead and it's 3-2 for Partizan now, all own goals! this must be match-fixing at its finest

When you make statements like this and when you are accusing one or both teams for fixing the match, then it is at least logical that you watched the match and that you can pinpoint who fixed it and why. Neftchi, according to this, made a deal with us to lose the match?

We had this same deficit against :bg: Ludogorets as well in the last match, and it was 2-2 in the end. If we had all 11 players on the field, maybe the outcome would have been different and then we would have been in the Champions League play-off. But whatever............

And also, we played a friendly match with :se: Malmo in Belgrade, they had a 3-0 lead after 15 minutes of play, and you know how it ended? 3-3. Football is a strange game, and maybe we are not a top class team, but we are a team that has character and all those returnings from the dead are all but accidental.

And if you watched the match, you could have seen that the unfortunate players of Neftchi who scored 2 owngoals couldn't do anything in the situations they were in. It doesn't happen often yes, but it is possible.

4 goals and at the end lost the game. unbelievable! However if partizan will play like that in Baku we will punish them.

You should analyze your own game because after 20th minute you didn't exist on the field, and the result you got in the end is great actually, as according to the number of chances we had, you could have easily got 2 more goals. Well done for first 20 minutes, you didn't come to defend only, and I respect that a lot, but after the second goal you totally stopped, and in the second half we outplayed you completely, you didn't shoot on our goal at all.

It will be much harder for you to beat us than you think. We are not impressive and this is far from our maximum, but we didn't lose a single match this season, and that fact alone speaks enough. Your defense is very bad + the goalie, as I said, is your weakest player and after last night's match his catastrophic series in the matches against us are continuing..............if you open completely from the start you will get a goal for sure, so your coach must play smart in case he wants to beat us.

xcheer for Rijeka! I'm just hoping that it will be 0:0 in Tiraspol, all it matters that Rijeka is in EL. xlol Btw, I'm really suprised that it's almost the end of August and Croatia has all its representatives in some EuroCup.
aletem, I see that you are a L'pool fan. What's your opinion on Lovren? :D

Don't know much about Lovren. He seems like a solid defender, even when he plays for Croatia. Liverpool has been conceding many goals last season (despite turning into a goal-scoring machine with Sturridge, Sterling and Suarez - now it's gonna be Baloteli instead of him, hopefully ), so with him in the back line, hopefully it will be much better and maybe take the title this year. I knew he was a Southampton player before.
As for Rijeka, hopefully Jahovic will score in Tiraspol! :D RNK Split got a very surprising result for them. I am not surprised about Dinamo though.

aletem, well, Jahović scored yesterday when Rijeka played with Lokomotiva (and lost the game xcry). Luckily, the game was with the B team because Kek was resting most of his A players.
As for Lovren, he was one of the best newbies in EPL last years, maybe he will continue with his good games. After all, he stated in some interviews that L'poll was his dream club. He was one of Croatia's best players in Brazil and it's pitty that he was 'responsible' for Fred's penalty (eventhough the whole world saw he faked it). As for Balotelli... good luck. It wouldn't be a bad idea to put a 'how to polite' clause.
