:hr: Hajduk Split - :mk: Horizont Turnovo 2:1
 Great result for Turnovo and they had 1:1 just before 10 minutes to the end of the game! :D I thought it would be 5:0 for Hajduk, but it turned out great actually! Turnovo did show in a good light, but I still don't think they can go through. They have an active result. All they need is a 1-0 win! :) Should they advance, they will meet :ge: Dila Gori/:dk: Aalborg

:rs: Partizan - :am: Shirak tomorrow

As I said earlier, what happened in Armenia last Wednesday must never happen again. It was below every level that is acceptable in a club like Partizan. I really hope that we learned a lesson and that such things will never repeat again. I expect some changes in the team, and with Ivanov back in the team, I think we will be able to neutralize their most dangerous player (Fofana), that we didn't succeed at all in the first match. We have to play offensive since the begining, and try to set up our play and the domination on the field, as we are playing on our stadium, in front of our supporters, and a good play and a routine victory as a result of that against Shirak tomorrow would bring back the optimism before the tougher matches against :sk: Slovan or :bg: Ludogorets in the next round.

It will not be easy as they saw that they can play against us, and they know that they can't lose anything so I expect even better Shirak than last time, and a risky play. In short -they will go on "everything or nothing". They have an active result from the first match and a chance to solve the overall winner with one goal.

However, if we do what we can tomorrow, I believe there will be no problems.

Kazakhstan is making it more difficult for Hødd. Aktobe ran into some visa problems with two players from Uzbekistan before the first match (altho I think that problem was solved). It appears that Kazakhstan and Aktobe wants revenge, because 2 of the best Hødd players have been denied entry to Kazakhstan, with no explanation given. 1 of the players is the coach's son, the other one is from Nigeria. 2 Hødd supporters have also been denied entry to the country. The Norwegian FA will have a talk with UEFA about this, but Hødd will have to play without these players tomorrow...

UEFA Champions League, 2nd round:

:mk: Vardar Skopje - Steaua Bucharest :ro: 1 - 2 (1 - 5 agg.)
The qualification was already solved from the first leg so this was just a win to help us get points in the UEFA ranking. Vardar played better and now, Dinamo Bucharest wants to buy Kostovski from them, after he scored against us

So, this is how the 3rd round will look:

:ge: Dinamo Tbilisi - Steaua Bucharest :ro:
It will be a tough match, especially because Dusan Uhrin junior, Dinamo's coach, knows us very well as he coached both Poli Timisoara and CFR Cluj. But we are favourites and we must qualify!

Vardar didn't deserve to lose this game. They were at least equal to Steaua, but Steaua used their chances, Vardar didn't and the outcome was 1-2. Such a pity, but that's the football. :) I really wanted a win for Vardar just with 1 goal, but didn't happen. Oh well! xshrug The goal came with a header, which is expected. Macedonia and Macedonian teams should use their heads more often to score. Romanians are shorter + not really good jumpers and that should have been advantage for Vardar. xshrug I do like Steaua, so I hope they can do well in their upcoming matches. :) Interesting, both Steaua and Dinamo Tbilisi have one Macedonian player in their squad.
As for Kostovski, he should stay in Vardar. Filip Ivanovski went from Vardar to a team from Kazakhstan, but he doesn't even get a chance to play there and it's a shame coz he is a good player. The same would happen to Kostovski in Dinamo (he isn't reallly like Daniel Georgievski). He better stay in Vardar to make a strong team for next season, rather than go elsewhere. :s

:rs: Partizan - :am: Shirak 0:0

The only thing worth mentioning is that we (somehow) advanced to the next round, but everything else is deeply disappointing and sad and I felt terrible after the match. If I could somehow even find some reasons for an ultra-horrible performance of us in Armenia, there are no excuses for this anti-football that we demonstrated yesterday.

I have to say, objectively, that we didn't deserve to pass, as Shirak was better in both matches, and they deserved to eliminate us. They showed a great physical readiness, an aggressive play, full of desire, they were also very compact in defense, and as a result of that we created only 2 chances from the game (and both in the first half), but their lack of quality is what eliminated them. In the attack, they had a couple of great scoring chances, but the keeper and the, always great, Ivanov saved us.

If somebody told me that I would shake like a rod against the team like :am: Shirak (with all due respect for them, as they showed a lot in both matches), I would probably tell him that he is crazy, but now.......... This is a huge embarrassment for the whole club, and almost every player except the goale (Lukac), Ivanov and the captain Ilic should be punished for this.

These two matches were really painful to watch and in the end I even don't know how we managed to pass........

Our next rival is :bg: Ludogorets Razgrad who massacred :sk: Slovan Bratislava in Razgrad with 3:0, but based on how they completely destroyed them, even if they won with 10:0, it wouldn't be undeserved. They destroyed :hr: Dinamo Zagreb last year as well, and they lost in an unlucky way in 97th minute. The Bulgarians are a completely wild team, and we never knew how to deal with this kind of extremely offensive players. As we don't have Volkov on the left back in these matches (because of the red card yesterday against Shirak), and as we don't have Mitrovic in the attack, it will be a sensation if we remained undefeated in Bulgaria, and if they don't rape like they raped Slovan. They are the strongest exactly in those parts where we are the weakest - on the backs. We need to play ugly now, defensive, and if something gets in, great, if not........the goal is to get as little hits in the net as possible. If we manage to survive their uraganic attacks in the first 30 minutes, maybe we have some chance for a positive result in the first match. An early goal would boost chances, as the Bulgarian team looks confused when they get a goal, but the only thing is.......we need to score. Just that.

UEFA Europa League, 2nd round:

:ro: Pandurii Targu Jiu - Levadia Talinn :ee: 4 - 0 (4 - 0 agg.)
Good result for Pandurii against a weak team. I didn't see the game but I heard that it was a match betwen the players of Pandurii and the goalkeeper of Levadia

:fo: Vikingur - Petrolul Ploiesti :ro: 0 - 4 (0 - 7 agg.)
This was expected as Vikingur was probably the weakest team in the 2nd round. Nevertheles, congratulations to Petrolul.

:cy: Omonia Nicossia - Astra Giurgiu :ro: 1 - 2 (2 - 3 agg.)
This was the greatest result of the evening for our tems. Omonia is stronger than Levadia and Vikingur together and Astra is for the first time in the European competitions. It was great to see that at 1 - 1, when Astra received a red card they didn't fall and managed to score the qualifying goal. And now, they overtook Omonia's coefficient and they have big chances to reach the Play-Off.

UEFA Europa League, 3rd round:

:ro: Pandurii Targu Jiu - Hapoel Tel Aviv :il:
I am afraid this is the end of the road for Pandurii. I think that even Vfb Stuttgart or FC Sevilla would've been a better choice because they would've underestimaded Pandurii, but Hapoel are a strong and serious team. Also, the fact that the home match will be played in Cluj Napoca instead of Targu Jiu is a disatvantage.

:ro: Petrolul Ploiesti - Vitesse Arnhem :nl:
I think the chances are 60 - 40 for Vitesse, but Petrolul has a chance.

:sk: Trencin - Astra Giurgiu :ro:
This should be easy after eliminating Omonia, but Trencin have a young god team and they shoud be taken very seriously!

Champions League:
 Molde FK 2-0 Sligo Rovers :ie: (3-0 agg)

Pretty much what I expected. :)

Next match:
:pl: Legia Warszawa SA - Molde FK

I think this is the end of the road for Molde. Legia Warszawa should be the better team...

Europa League:
:hu: Debreceni VSC 0-3 Strømsgodset IF  (2-5 agg)
:kz: FC Aktobe 2-0 IL Hødd  (2-1 agg)
:az: Inter Baku PIK 1-0 Tromsø IL  (1-2 agg)
:sc: St. Johnstone FC 1-1 Rosenborg BK  (2-1 agg)

Strømsgodset really surprised me, as they even got a red card (altho the score was already 0-3). I dunno what happened with Debrecen, but 0-3 away is pretty strong.

As for the Hødd match, I only have one comment. Corruption works.

Tromsø and Rosenborg was pretty much what I expected, Tromsø is thru, Rosenborg is out.

Next matches:
:cz: FK Baumit Jablonec - Strømsgodset IF
Tromsø IL - FC Differdange 03 :lu:

I've never really heard of Baumit Jablonec before, but I think I'm keeping Strømsgodset as a favorite here.
Tromsø shouldn't really have much problem, but Norwegian teams have been knocked out by Luxembourgian teams before. UN Käerjéng 97 knocked out Lillestrøm in the 07/08 season, and since Lillestrøm is like the arch rival of my club, I found that rather amusing. Differdange has also just knocked out Utrecht, so they should maybe not be underestimated...

That really is an extraordinary result for St. Johnstone. Shame about Hibs losing 7-0.

Yeah, but they did start the season with 5 losses in the first 6 matches, which means they've had a lot of catching up to do. They lost against Lillestrøm today, but before that, they had 6 straight matches without losing. I'm still quite sure Legia will be the strongest team tho.

In Poland, the league has only just begun, and Legia already have set of wins (2). Maybe indeed, I shouldn't be afraid about Molde. Anyway, we need keep respect for rival.

The players and the complete coaching stuff of :bg: Ludogorets heavily underestimated us, and almost every player is s******g on us in their statements. On other teams from this region as well, but of course, since we are their next rivals in the qualifications, we are the target #1

While they have the complete right to do so after this terrible performance in both of our matches against :am: Shirak , I have to say that I really like that they are treating us like this, and I hope they will underestimate us even more, say that they will trash us with 50:0 or something like that....... we always function better when we are completely underestimated than when we are the favorites.

They are definetly a very dangerous team, a team that has 5 x bigger budget than us, from what I seen, they are especially strong on the wings and in the transformation from the defense to the attack, but they also have some weaknesses that I spotted, and I personally know exactly how should the team be set for the match in Razgrad on Wednesday :)

I forgot to comment the other matches of our teams in the Europa League qualifications, so I'll do it now:

:ru: Rubin Kazan - :rs: Jagodina 1:0 (first match: 3-2 for Rubin)

In both of these matches, Jagodina played more than excellent against the team who is even one of the favorites to win the Europa League! They weren't outplayed at all, and they were really brave, they showed no respect for the favored Rubin. Unfortunately, Rubin has much more experience (obviously), while Jagodina has no European experience and in the end, even a magnificent play of Jagodina didn't give much quantitative result, and the only thing that remained is a great impression :( Too bad that Miloš Stojanović left the club at the end of the season, as his absence in the attack was obvious.

Generally, Jagodina had the quality to show much more on the European scene, and they have shown that they didn't win the Serbian cup last season for no reason. But the draw had no mercy, and now they are out :(

:hu: Honved - :rs: Vojvodina 1:3 (first match: 2-0 for Vojvodina)

I didn't watch too much of Vojvodina's match, but they easily nailed Honved, a team with great tradition and history in Hungary. As I said earlier, Marko Nikolic is one of the best coaches in Serbia, and his work is easily seen now. Also, Vojvodina, so far, has shown the most out of all 4 :rs: clubs, and if they continue like this (they have a very good team now), they will be the first contenders for the champions title in Serbia.

They are outsiders against :tr: Bursaspor in the next round, but you never know what happens in soccer.........Differdange has also shown that this year.

:is: IBV - :rs: Crvena Zvezda 0:0 (first match: 2-0 for Crvena Zvezda)

Just like each and every season, Zvezda is inflated by the medias that they have a dream-team, the best team in the galaxy, they are going to win all trophies, all the other teams are s.hit, etc....... and than they show a catastrophic performance on the field. What they have shown in both of these matches against :is: IBV is a complete disaster, and they had more luck than brains to eliminate the Icelandic team. If the regular goal of IBV was counted in the first match and if IBV used the penalty in the second one, who knows what would have happened. And who knows what would've happened if only the second option realized.

None of their new acquisitions have shown much, in fact, they play the same like before, and even have the same weaknesses. If they plan to play like this against :ua: Chernomorets Odesa, they better not travel to Ukraine.
