^^ Who is Omonia's rival in the qualifications?

Tomorrow :am: Shirak and :sm: Tre Penne are playing their first match. The one who passes this round will play against Partizan.

I scouted the Armenian team and found all weaknesses in their play, but I will definetly watch this match tomorrow to see them on action.

Shirak defeated Tre Penne yesterday with 3:0. Their attacker Fofana scored all 3 goals for Shirak and did a hat-trick.

With this, Shirak (now officially) reserved the tickets for the matches against Partizan in the second round.

Metalurg - Qarabag 0:1
 Like I expected anything more from Metalurg! They haven't won a game in Europe (whether CL/Europa League), so this was too much to ask to win at home against a team from Azerbaijan!

Vojvodina is the first Serbian club to come out on the European scene this season. They are playing a match against Hibernians today. The first match is played in :mt: .

I think Vojvodina is a clear favorite here, they have a very serious coach now in Marko Nikolic and also the 2nd best team in the country (after Partizan of course). If they enter match seriously they could finish the job in Malta already. I don't underestimate Hibernians, but Vojvodina is a different league comparing to them.

Hibernians 1-4 Vojvodina

As expected, Vojvodina has justified the role of a favorite and pretty much finished the job in Malta. The second match in Novi Sad will be formal.

As :hu: Honved did the same, they will be their rivals in the 3rd round.

UEFA Europa League, 1st round:

:sl: Dozale - Astra Giurgiu :ro: 0 - 1
Great result for Astra and I think that the match in Bucharest won't be a problem. I am looking forward to their matches against Omonia Nicossia in the 2nd round :)

:lt: Zalgiris 2-2 :ie: St Patricks
:ie: Drogheda 0-0 :se: Malmo

Good results for the Irish teams (especially St Pats for the 2 away goals). St Pat's just need a clean sheet to go through, Drogheda really need to score first in their match in Sweden.

My team (Vålerenga) is stuck in Norway this season, but we still have some teams trying to qualify:
 Tromsø IL 1-2 :sl: NK Celje
:uk: (Northern Ireland) Crusaders FC 1-2  Rosenborg BK

Rosenborg should qualify easily, Tromsø is probably in a bit of trouble...

IL Hødd (plays in the 1st division aka 2nd tier) and Strømsgodset IF (currently leading the top division 4 points ahead of Rosenborg) will join in the next round. Hødd will play against the winner of the matches between :am: Gandzasar FC and :kz: FC Aktobe, while Godset will be up against :hu: Debreceni VSC.

In the Champions League, Molde FK will play against :ie: Sligo Rovers FC.

:mk: Teteks - :am: Pyunik 1:1
:lt: Suduva - :mk: Horizont Turnovo 2:2

Seems that I was right about the initial predictions (but we'll see for sure next week if they will be spot on). Horizont is on a good way to qualify in the second round, while the chances for Teteks are still 50-50 as I said. Teteks played a lot better and yet only drew 1:1. If they play like that, I think they can make it, which is not bad for a team that was relegated in the second league. xshock

:ee: Narva Trans 0-3 :se: Gefle
:ee: Flora Tallinn 1-1 :al: Kukësi
:uk: Bala Town 1-0 :ee: Levadia Tallinn

Not brilliant results for the Estonian teams with possibly the only chance of Flora Tallinn getting through but they do have the away match in :al:.

:am: Shirak lost from :sm: Tre Penne with 1:0 in the second match, but since they won in the first one with 3:0, it wasn't enough to be eliminated.

The date and the time of the first duel between Shirak and Partizan (the first match is played in Armenia) will be announced today or tomorrow.

Lol, Tre Penne won over Shirak!! This is probably the first Sanmarinese club victory in any football competition!

Even more funny for me is that Tre Penne had periods where they were completely dominating the match, and Shirak couldn't pass their own half  The commentator was in trance after the match ended because he knows that this was the historical match for them

Nobody in the Shirak's team stood out. The biggest danger for our team and one of their best players from what I was scouting Fofana wasn't seen on the field at all. Barikyan, who is a brain of that team, had a whole lot of wrong passes. The defense was cardinally bad..........

All in all, Shirak looked much better in those previous matches that I was watching (from their league), but in these two matches against Tre Penne I didn't see absolutely nothing that would worry me and I think we should pass them easily. Of course, no underestimation, just serious approach from the first minute and the job will probably be over in Armenia already.

And also, I think Pyunik is a totally different league than Shirak. I am surprised a bit that a team like this is a champion over them.

:am: Pyunik - :mk: Teteks 1:0 (Total 2:1). Last minute goal sealed Teteks' chances of advancing to the next round. While Teteks was again better, chances don't count - rather goals!!
:az: Qarabag - :mk: Metalurg 1:0 (Total 2:0). Okay, so Metalurg still hasn't won a competitive match in the European football cups. Dunno what to say!! xshrug They are eliminated twice from Qarabag (2 years ago it was 4-1 and 1-1).
:mk: Horizont Turnovo - :lt: Suduva 2:2 (Total 4:4) 5:4 on penalties. :D Good job for Turnovo, who did rather well on their European debut. The team that comes from a small village made success and will face Hajduk Split in the second round.

UEFA Europa League, 1st round:

:ro: Astra Giurgiu - NK Domzale :si: 2 - 0 (3 - 0 agg.)
So Astra passed without any problems, though they didn't play that well. I only hope that it was because of their opponents that where really, really bad

Here is the picture for the UEFA Europa League, 2nd round:

::e Levadia Talinn - Pandurii Targu Jiu :ro:

:ro: Petrolul Ploiesti - Vikingur :fo:

:ro: Astra Giurgiu - Omonia Nicossia :cy:
