We won! :D A bit of luck but it doesen't mather! We are unbeatable with 50000 people singing for us. I can't believe that Molde trashed Stuttgart . Now all we need is to win against CFR Cluj on Sundy as that is the most important match of this autmn :)

Manchester United has bagged in another 3 Points ;) Cluj 1 - 2 Man United

It's CFR Cluj, not Cluj. That team doesen't represent the city of Cluj. The only team in Cluj is "U". Anyway I am sure that the 3 points they got agaianst Braga will be the only points they will make in this group :))

Also if we played with a lot of reserves we won 3-1! Congratulations to Neftchi, too!

Partizan lost from Rubin with 2:0.

We played quite good in the first half and managed to neutralize their attacks, but in the 44th minute our defense made a cardinal mistake and we got a very silly goal (not the first one that is silly). After that we stopped playing, we got another one, and the rest was a routine for teams like Rubin. Well, I didn't have high hopes of passing the group, but anyway, our players should play the next matches in the Europa League withut any pressure but motivated to get points. Every point is important.

I don't have high hopes for the next match against Inter but I only hope that we will fight 'till the end, and whatever must be..will be.

Anyway there are still 4 matches, so all can happen.
As I said, it's very amusing to follow this EL with you, all in the same group! :D It strengthens our relationship! :)

^^ I agree with that :D

However, I think it is over for both Partizan and Neftchi. I don't expect anything in the next matches. I only hope that our players will fight for the jersies they are wearing as well as for our club, but the qualification for the next round is unrealistic. Our team has a lot of potential but they are too young and inexperienced for matches against huge teams like Inter and Rubin.

The first goal we got against Rubin clearly shows that. Our roster is excellent for the :rs: league where we are very dominant, but still too thin for Europe. However, since we are the only Serbian club that brings points to our country, it is a success to be part of this as well.

So, Inter - Partizan tomorrow........

Even though I am almost certain we will be defeated, I would lie if I don't say that I can't wait for the match to begin :D It will be real spectacle.

As Inter will probably come out with their 2nd or even 3rd squad I hope Vermezovic will not play a total bunker like I expect.

This is a match where we are not going to have much control of everything on the field, so we only need to give our best shot. We'll see for what will it be enough.......

Ah, now I see that Inter will actually play with their strongest team

That means that Stramacioni took us seriously.

But if Inter comes out with their strongest team indeed, we have nothing to hope for on the field. Inter's first team is a too big bite for our young team.

The only thing we have to do is play without any pressure as we don't have anything to lose.

Btw, Stramacioni said a lot of positive things for our team, and I am really glad that a coach of a serious team like Inter said so many positive things about our players, and especially Lazar Markovic :D

Mmhhh... I don't know. He said: "In campo andrà una squadra molto motivata che non sottovaluterà l'impegno, come ha sempre fatto l'Inter", that means that "the squad that will play will be very motivated, it won't understimate the match, like inter has always done"... but it doesn't mean that inter will play with her strongest players. Especially considering he said "like inter has always done", I think that we won't see the first-string squad.

GNK Dinamo Zagreb 0 - 2 Paris St. Germain

That's it. The season for Dinamo Zagreb is most probably over. There were some chances, especially in the first halftime, but sadly, still no score......pity. Bye bye Europe.

Well, looking at the list of players for this match, almost all of your best players are on it. It will probably be a first squad or very close to the first one.

Our newspaper "Sportski Zurnal" is pretty much correct when it comes to guessing the starting lineups. They still didn't announce them, but when they do, I will post it here.

What did you expect? From the begining I knew they'll have 6 lost games and end up 4th in group with 1 or 2 goals for. They achieved what they wanted - qualification to Champions League.

I didn't expect anything, Luka.....obviously these rivals are too strong for Dinamo. I am not even disappointed! I think European league would be better for them, maybe, just maybe they would have some success there.
I still hope they will, at least, score some goals till the end of the round LOL

^^ We both need an ex-yu regional league for our clubs to improve. To be honest, Dinamo is, as far as I am aware, extremely dominant in the Croatian league, and Hajduk is in huge financial problems. The championship starts, and you already know who will the champion be. But even though Dinamo is by far the strongest Croatian club, it is still too weak for serious European teams. That is what these 2 last Champions Leagues have shown. And the one in 2010 when Partizan ended with 0-0-6 as well.

In our championship it is similar - Partizan is very dominant and we are the champions of Serbia for 5 consecutive years. Crvena Zvezda is also good but still way below us. We are the strongest Serbian team by all parameters, but then when we face a serious rival we see how far we are from a serious European story........

In basketball, we have a regional ABA league, and it has shown that the clubs playing there have much benefit. The same thing must be done in soccer too. I know that there would be many security risks, but it is a must, imo. The league would bring loads of good things for both the competitors, the viewers, and everyone involved in it.

Miloš you are maybe right, but I would also include the clubs from, for example, Bulgaria and Albania and possibly some other countries from this area....it would be more exciting then.

@Milos and Vratoslav: I know exactly what you need! You need to have a great European season, I don't know how you get that but you need to rise your ranking so your league gets a direct UEFA Champions League qualifying spot. That way people with money will invest in poor clubs knowing that if they win the Serbian\Croatian league the profit will be at a minimum of 15 million Euros.

The Romanian league was the same as yours until 2006 when we had the fantastic season with a 100 % Romanian quater-final in the UEFA Cup. That season granted a UEFA Champions League group stage spot for the Romanian championship and that's why we are so strong now, because high investments where made at CFR Cluj, SC Vaslui and Astra Giurgiu, clubs that almost didn't exist until 2006. There where some exceptions where Clubs like Unirea Urziceni and Otelul Galati won the league and after they got the money from UEFA Champions League the inbestor took them all and destroyed the clubs
