Their big 5 excuse isn't banal at all, partly they (and all other participants who don't pre qualify except for host) are right to complain about that. But only if TRT's attitude wasn't that annoying as if they "own" the Europe.

I usually love the Turkish entries so I will be glad about that Hopefully diaspora won't ruin things though Eurovision voting isn't as corrupt as when Turkey last participated.

I'd love for some TurkPop a la Gülsen or Hande Yener

If rock then PLEASE let it be actual great TurkRock similar to the entry of Mor ve Ötesi and not those other two Rock entries (maNga was a wasted opportunity for me, if it was more similar to their regular style and less "westernized" and of course not in English then it would have been so much better)...

I enjoy the song. But that's not only about her voice. The costumes, the choreography, the vocals... She wasted a good song which could hit 2nd place. However, 4th place is overrated with that performance.

I would LOVE Turkey to be back! And for them to sing in Turkish, as well....

I don't really know many Turkish artists, but I am really liking Göksel, she's amazing.

I don't think we will be returning, but in the unlikely case we do we should be sending Göksel with a Turkish-language song, if she agrees to it of course.
