Thank the diaspora, I just can't stand this children song.. sorry Turkey.. I usually like your entries (minus the past years), but this is just irritating and stole the place from someone more deserving.

You are talking about respecting differences of taste. But actually you dont respect other opinions. *

Why?
I will explain it to you:
You dont like the Turkish entry, so you expect that no one like the Turkish entry.*
How do i know that?
I will explain it to you:
You expect that Turkish entry will disqualify, because you expect that no one will vote for Turkish entry, because you think no one like the Turkish entry, because you dont like the Turkish entry.
So, what happened?
Turkey is qualified for the finals.
You are surprised and confused.
You are looking for an explanation.
And you think: It must be the diaspora, because no one should like the Turkish entry, because i dont like the Turkish entry.
Did you get it?
Finally i give you a recommandation:
Never try to teach other people in freedom of thought and speech, If your thoughts are not free of prejudice AND if you can not grant these freedoms to others.

Actually I like the Turkish entry a lot, and I hardly ever root for Turkish entries. Last time in 2003.

Impressive reaction from the crowd, but considering the contest is held in Azerbaijan it was to be expected, I guess. Nice performance though, loved the boat. Did you see the breakdancer slip though?

You guys need to chill. I dunno why but it always seems like it's the Turkish fans that can't handly any criticism of their entries. You're overreacting.

Did you guys realize that he added one more 'nanana' part which was not in rehearsals and after he realized try to cover it with another 'hayde'? I could see how nervous he was. According to an interview the biggest crown he even sang to was 9000 people only and probably a spring fest of a university or sth like that. Compared to that experience this is an enermous jump. Nobody ever claimed that he has a good voice. Im pretty sure even TRT selected him cuz of his composer title. He's more like a show guy than a diva. At this point we gotta agree with the negative reactions. Yet, vocally he can be considered as bad as the greek, cypriot or norwegian entrants, including the song and the package itself he has to be judged in a different category. At least its not the same shake-ass dull pop. Something unusual, different for western european audience. Its more about representation for me so i believe Can represents a good example of majority of Turkish youth unlike the stereotypes in most of people's minds. I dont have any piece of hope for winning but im sure it's gonna be in top 10 call it diaspora or whatever. Lets just enjoy the show and i hope he'll be more confortable on the stage tomorrow.

I totally agree with you DoctorX. In every word.

I don't care about the results, I'm just relieved that Can has another chance to perform in front of this amazing supportive crowd.. And whatever happens from now on, the Turkish media will put the blame on neighbour to neighbour voting anyways and therefore he won't be judged that much by the society? :p
I wish the best for him, maybe a good top 13 result (13 is the 1/2 of 26 so :p) simply because of his originality and the cool and warm vibe he has. He gets me excited and that matters. A couple of exciting minutes are what we mostly live for :D

Turkey won't finish last. While it may not be the winner, Top 10 is totally within the roam of possibility.

Loved this song yesterday in the semi final. Really, why can't it end really high? It's delicious :D

BTW it's been said that its a bad draw to sing just after Sweden, but i guess there's gonna be a break after Sweden, yet, its another negative fact to be just after a break but i rather to be after the break to be after an up-tempo fan favorite song :D Let's see how it's gonna turn out to be tomorrow.

I think winning for us is something like impossible as well. Maybe top 5. That would be great. Whatever the result will be, i'm very glad because Can is representing us. I love him. Since Sertab won, the years that i'm most proud and excited about our entry are 2010 and this-2012! The result is not very important but if we stay out of top 10, i will be sad honestly because that wouldn't be what we deserve.
