Never heard of the guy before (but I do remember seeing his The Voice audition, but I'm not a regular viewer of that show), but guess it all depends on the song.

I hope he'll present a killer song indeed, as is suggested in Dutch media. Apparently they all agreed on sending him when they heard his song - and the fact that he isn't a big name here in the Netherlands, the song has to be. AVROTROS tended to send big names since Anouk so I'm kinda glad they didn't do that this year.
I'll wait until the song presentation to see if I'm happy with this choice, it can be literally anything now.

Sounds pretty promising, he has like no stuff to listen too, but he seem to have a really nice voice. Possibly will NL keep up the good job they've done with selecting pretty good songs from 2013 and forward (let's just forget about 2015 for a moment...).

He both looks and sounds like someone that would win our WorldVision contest on this forum. Netherlands hinted at something different here to what they've been sending lately and I still think you might get exactly that. He has ballads on youtube but also some uptempo stuff as well. His voice seems adaptable. From the little I've seen he's not my kind of artist at all but I think he could potentially do very well at Eurovision. His singing is solid + he's handsome. Kerching. Just give him a solid entry and you'll be rolling your way to a good result.

Some details have been leaked, and seems to be more a rock ballad with unique vocals. There is a lot of internal hype about it. I am cautiously optimistic.
