Douwe Bob and the song being uptempo seems really promising for the Netherlands. I still have a lot of love for the Dutch entries after "Birds" and "Calm After The Storm".

I'm also definetly intrigued and glad with this choice. If the song is going to be enjoyable and interesting enough to stand out as well, then I'm expecting The Netherlands to do well again this year, since quality music is their strong point. Plus he's a very charmingly handsome blue-eyed guy (xheat), which doesn't hurt....

He's nice, he's a good musician, he's goodlooking, I'm not too keen on his voice but it's decent anyway. My only fear, knowing that it'll be an uptempo song, is that we're going to hear a copy of Guy Sebastian (which may be the trend for 2016, mark my words).

I'm also afraid of the infamous Dutch bad taste in staging, we saw it a hundred times in the past. It's going to be difficult though doing worse than Trintje's outfit last year, so I'm optimistic :D

The Dutch bad staging is not a 'bad taste' thing more a low budget thing ;)

You can still be elegant with a good dress on and nothing more :p

Trijntje looked like a bat in that dress! And those boots... WHY?? :D

Really good first impression. Needless to say that it'll come down to the song but Douwe Bob has the voice and stage presence to succeed at Eurovision. After last year's train wreck the Dutch are back on track.

NOS is no longer the Dutch broadcaster for Eurovision, it's AVROTROS since 2014 and it was TROS from 2010 to 2013.

He seems neutral to me. Nothing special.
I preferred the other rumored artist better.
