Well..... Can't say I'm too exited for Trijntje. I never really cared about her songs, although we all know she is a great singer. I was really hoping on Dotan, Kensington or even Alain Clark, but Trijntje just seems boring and unoriginal. My only hope is that Anouk will be writing the song, which would mean the song could be anything except boring.

Even though i'm not exited for this pick, I'm still glad my country is taking the competition seriously and keeps the tradition of sending (one of our) best artists to represent us. :nl:

Seems an ok choice. It will completely rest on the song. Her voice is too clean-cut and perfect for me. The music seems the same way too. What i've heard doesn't do anything for me.

Trijntje seem to be a very safe choice for the Netherlands. I just hope hope hope that her song will be more interesting that the ones I have heard her sing (from Youtube).
Well - every now and then I fall for a powerful ballad with a female voice, so this may still turn out well even though she goes for a regular ballad (like Netherland 90 f.ex).

A week ago there was also a rumour that Trijntje would be accompanied by the other ladies of soul: Berget Lewis, Edsilia Rombley (1998, 2007), Glennis Grace (2005) and Candy Dulfer (sax).

Glennis also said somewhere, she wasn't going to participate, and Edsilia isn't keen on participating for the third time. So, it seems unlikely it will be Ladies of Soul (thankgod;))

Trijntje Oosterhuis is far too safe for me.She is chattering class fodder. She is a great singer that has her vocal range fine tuned to deliver and appeal to a middle aged audience.

The key will be song.If its one of her light Soul drippy ballad things shel fail.If Anouk is writing she needs some sort of contemporary edgy number. Her vocals can deliver and she knows how to work a stage and audience. This could be very good,or complete snorefest.

Yes it's firm, it is going to be Trijntje SOLO, with a song written by Anouk. Not exactly the revelation I was hoping for. Dotan would've been superb and gutsy.

While I admire her as a vocalist and for a long while I was hoping that she'd sing at ESC, I think she should've participated in the 00s when she was in her prime. Not now, not in the 10s. It seems a bit like a misfit, a regression.

It will all depend on the song.

She's gonna sing in English for sure, but I want to let people also hear a Dutch song from Trijntje because it also shows off her vocal capacities :)

This is quite an old song, at least 15 years old and it was the period where she sang predominantly in Dutch. Especially the end of the song is amazing :D

And just another one in English which I love :)

She said today the song is completely different than you would expect from her or Anouk. We'll just have to wait and see (hear) :)
